This is the worst lawyer that one can come in contact with. He misleads people, making false promises, do not deliver, looses documents, and charges for dreaming about you. I cannot believe that something like this could happen to me, although I cautiously asked him about his price, I stopped him for doing anything for me when he actually said he cannot do anything for me. Why engage then? Why charge me more for not doing the work that he would charge if he did the work? Someone please explain

Tried and I emphasize tried to retain to solve a problem with the executor of my families estate, specifically to do with disclosure of estate assets. Explained the situation to him, he called the executor, called me back and asked if I was willing to help paint the family home ( the estate's main asset as far as I know). Uh, what? Sorry, Mr. Brown, are you Handyman Network or a lawyer? The retainer was to be $1000 two credit card instalments of $500. ID and a cc auth for was requested before payment but cc was billed before TB received this info, caught me by surprise causing card to go over limit. When I told him this was going to cost me interest costs because it would hamper refinancing my cc debt he said "I didn't cost you anything, buddy". Buddy. How unprofessional. Knows a lot about Canadian estate planning. Cooperates with a US lawyer, letting him cover US-Canadian issues somewhat. Great communicator; comfortable with quick answers by email. But bills at $325/hr so costs mount quickly. This reduces value, for routine stuff.
