Dawn Thorne is a criminal who will hurt victims to protect her friends and business owners. She has refused to recuse and for two years has held all hearings in chambers. This woman belongs in jail and has now allowed legal malpractice of shumway van and the theft of $200k from me. She isn’t even a family court judge so shouldn’t even had have my case after it was switched from Kathy hardcastle to Rena Hughes to see butler to her without any of them following the law. If you have Dawn Thorne part of any of your matters prepared to be stolen from, lied about, and abused! The judical commission is also a joke and so is nevada state bar. If you are looking for a lawyer who truly hates men, then this is your girl. She represented my ex-wife years ago and literally lied throughout the trial. Yes, I have proof (the video tapes of the trial). She truly gives lawyers a bad name. She wanted to have a warrant issued for my arrest during 9/11 because I was unable to fly back to Las Vegas for a court appearance. She was losing the case, so she called in another lawyer from the firm she worked for to save her butt. In the early 2000's (I'm not sure exactly when), she was considered to be one of THE worst family court lawyers in the LVRJ yearly rating. IF I wanted to be vengeful, I could talk about her personal life, but I won't. Just STAY AWAY from this witch. IMHO, if she gets elected to serve as a judge, she will probably use her power to screw every man in court that appears before her.

Dawn was so attentive right up until my sister signed the contract with her. Which by the way allows her to go after my sister's home and attach her wages if she ran out of money. That $5k retainer fee was not close to being enough, contrary to what Dawn represented to her. First court date Dawn called to tell my sister she would not be there, and charged her $175 to tell her. This was one of the worst times in my sister's life besides family death. A heartbreaking divorce and a lawyer looking out for her best interest (money), and I watched my sister's health deteriorate from all the stress. Very unprofessional office staff as well, frequent "F " bombs. Not prepared for court, until the last court date when Dawn removed herself from my sister's case and requested 18% (daily???) interest on the balance she stated my sister owed. Do your homework before you hire!

I was recommended Ms Throne by a BK attorney. What a nightmare. Her partner attended my hearing and lied so many times to the judge, it took me a new attorney and 6 months to undo what she did. When I brought up statements in my motion that they were making that were not true- Ms. Throne said she had plenty of experience and said she knew what to do. They both are the most money hungry, unethical people I have ever encountered. Do your research before hiring Dawn Throne or anyone from her firm.
