I was going through a divorce with 2 children. I didn't have alot of money, the ex-husband wasn't paying any child support but I gathered every penny that I could find and paid Lisa Rogers $1,250.00 to handle a simple uncontested divorce and settlement, and child support. I stressed the urgency for child support as I had nothing. She gladly took my money and assured me she would get to work. Long story short, 6 months went by and all she had accomplished was the simple uncontested divorce. I continued to call and go by her office. She was never there and would not return my phone calls. I ran all over town doing most of the legwork for my case. I had everything she needed and yet nothing was accomplished after a year. I called the NC bar association and filed a complaint. I sent them a copy of the check and told them of the hell I had been put through with this "laywer". They instructed her to reimburse me $900.00 of the $1,250. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

My 1st x-wife hired this woman. She was EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED. I'm thinking-AWESOME-WRONG!!! The incompetence of Lisa caused me an EXTREME AMOUNT OF MONEY. She attempted to extort me and drug out my ED award. The kicker=my wife used our money to pay for her. Lisa drug the ED compliance out for more than 3 years. It took the judge to find my x-wife in contempt for me to finally receive my settlement. If she is representing your x, you will have to have your x held in contempt before this matter will be resolved. She'll come up with every excuse in the world to stall.... FOREVER.... If you're thinkinga bout hiring her for punishment-she's your girl. Just know, you are going to be dragging it out for years to come and in the end-everybody gets hurt. You should take note that Lisa has been Censured by the NC State Bar. You should give it a read. This woman put me through a living hell and I didn't do anything to deserve it.
