I have used Steve twice, both post-decree. In 2010 he was a sharp, confident attorney who fought for me and always offered solid, practical advice. In 2017, I went back to him and had a horrible experience and poor outcome. We discussed issues during the consultation and as always, I was completely upfront. I knew after a month or two something was wrong.So many errors made on court documents. Phone calls unreturned. My concerns ignored.The main issue of why we were in court,that wasn't even entered in the motion and was ignored per Allison Pawlicki, the attorney now working with him. She made careless mistakes repeatedly and LIED about my main concern and the resolution. I didn't hire her, but that was the ruse: Steve would secure the client; she'd do all else.I confronted Steve & he SCREAMED at me! He's no longer sharp and I felt very UNREPRESENTED. Although I hired HIM, I got an incompetent liar who cost me big money. Shame on you, Steve.

Steve is a disaster. He isn't responsive, doesn't pay attention to details, and is unprofessional (swearing and hanging up when he gets frustrated.). He also shows a profound lack of understanding of child abuse issues, including putting pressure on my child to see his abuser and ignoring common sense steps (like anger management/parenting classes followed by supervised visits).

Post divorce work - Steve was a pit bull in Cook County courts. Saved me hundreds of thousands to X-wife blood sucker. Knows Cook County legal system cold. Fair with legal fees. Office staff top notch. He is the go-to-guy. No were not related - if he called me at 3:30 in the morning and needed a ride, I would only ask if he needed coffee.
