Was my wives lawyer for my divorce. He was told by me that I thought my marriage was not valid, because my wife swore on oath that she had 2 marriages prior to our marriage and that she never got a divorce from her second husband. He was told and wanted proof. I asked my wife for proof and she ignored the request. Armand then put a QDRO to my retirement, without any notification to me, which terminated my retirement during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is what i lived on for food and medications as I am 77 and Diabetic. All he wanted is his fees which will come from my retirement. THERE IS NO DIVORCE RECORDED in CA. The marriage was not legal, as Kyung Ok Kang was still married to Nelson Richard DeWitt. Armand is a fraud.

Worst attorney I have ever worked with! Recommended by a friend who used him years ago for his divorce. Armand may have been a good attorney at one time but is clearly over burdened with his case load to give your case any detailed attention. He let opposing counsel walk all over me and didn't have my back. Don't hire Armand if you want a good divorce attorney because he isn't it! I had to fire him and hire another divorce attorney that was competent.

Hiring Armand Carian was the best decision I made after firing 3 layers. He is a great lawyer who has excellent analytical skills. He is very reasonable and works hard on each case. I recommended him to 3 of my friends and all of them are very satisfied. He's hard to get hold of, but do not give up. Please do not be stupid by hiring someone else.

I have had Armand Carian Handle my divorce since 2011. I'm still dealing with the ex-wife and Armand Carian. He has been nearly impossible to reach. He vacated three hearings without consulting me about the next setting date. I showed up to court to learn that it was vacated and rescheduled to a date when I would be out of the country. I walked over to his office after taking the day off for the scheduled court date. He was unaware that I was not informed or consulted, thanks to his rude and very unprofessional Secretary Tara. He said he would reschedule the next hearing date. I return to New Mexico to find out the hearing was held with me but I have no idea who the Attourney is that is handling the property issue and cannot get a hold of anyone. Armand finally calls me back to leave me a message saying " I won the hearing without you since you didn't bother to show up, I was there" He's either senile or just so arrogant that he's out of his mind. Do not recommend Armand Carian

You can do so much better in a divorce attorney than going to Armand Carian. Here are some facts:
(1) He sent an erroneous inflammatory letter without consulting me or notice to me.
(2) He incorrectly sent my copy of the above letter to my ex-wife’s address.
(3) He spent about one-third of the time talking about niceties of life. He charged me for this. I had to keep him on track.
(4) His office refused to send me any monthly billing or statement of account and were rude about it.
(5) Mr. Carian delayed about three weeks sending me a retainer refund although he knew I was in financial need.
(6) He charged me for a consult for an hour he said was free that occurred over a year before I retained him. That does not seem appropriate.
(7) When I got the refund, Mr. Carian’s check bounced. He eventually gave me cash but the damage was done.

Armand is a well respected attorney in the court system. He is a classic attorney, he does NOT play dirty. He defends the little man and gets the job done. He does not charge and arm & leg, its a flat rate fee. I would highly recommend him.
