I made the mistake of hiring Bob Bartis for a criminal matter. Both he and his co-council were more interested in figuring out where they were going to eat lunch that they were with my case. I was found guilty (no surprise, given their incompetency), but after hiring another firm for my appeal, the conviction was overturned. My new lawyer found so many things that Bartis did incorrectly, including allowing the prosecutor to use hearsay in the case. I wouldn't recommend Bartis for so much as a traffic ticket, much less anything else!
