I have dealt with many lawyers in my days. Personal and business. Karen Burwash is by far the WORST. Does not respond to phone calls or emails. She literally did NOTHING to help me. I even starting calling her boss Peter Moss to complain. He did not do anything either, but tell me she was dealing with personal issues. So I fired her ass. Seems like she is still conducting herself in the same manor. Stay far away she is horrible and should not be practicing law. I would not suggest the law firm either. If they have kept her this long there is something wrong with them! Stay clear folks!

In my opinion and experience with this lawyer is that every negative review on here is correct. Run from her!!! RUN!!!! All her and her office care about is sucking their clients dry and laughing all the way to the bank. Go in for 1 lawyer and end up getting charged for all 3 that work there. Do not go here! You have been warned! Oh and when you disagree with her bill she will take you to court in less than a month after sending it to you. Do you want to be in court with them after being there already?

No replied to emails request information .. asking personal information not relevant to the case . give incorrect directions not what a client wished for. . Believe all the communication on this page because that is reality. Refusing to answer truthfully and follow clients directions and it’s all about moving into trial and collecting personal funds . What a let down .

Winnipeg's WORST Lawyer. She did a lousy job as my lawyer. Could not get a hold of her. She would not return phone calls or emails. Even when we went to her office she was either not there, or refused to see me. STAY away from this lawyer. It was a waste of time and money.

I don't know where to start with this woman! I was representing myself and Karen Was on ex's lawyer. This was his last lawyer, the 7th one. Bottom of the barrel. When I went to a hearing, she tried to pull some fast ones on me and tried to get me to agree to things via the court clerk on Tuesday's hearing. Well, Let me tell you, I advised the clerk I wanted to speak to a Judge that day and advised Karen that I would not speak to her unless in front of a judge and EVERYTHING would be writing. I did get to the judge and from then on EVERTHING was court recorded. As far as the other reviews, its true she will pretend and not answer her calls, I would keep track of everything. She is a prime example of low Lawyers get a bad name. Visit the Court Site, she was garnished for wages due to an unpaid bill with Minister of Finance. She should be BARRED from practicing law!

was told by another lawyer we had a good case in the lawsuit since there was breach of sale contract and fraud. Karen****us in every way. - never returned calls or emails- never deposed other party or filed proper motions- informed us last minute "she had tried several times to reach us" (yea right, guess she forgets about caller Id) that we would be in court the following day. We come to find out that She had not prepared ANYTHING and forced to settle for tens of thousands of loss plus her "representation fees" RUN from this lawyer and firm

She was a great lawyer 16 years ago for me so I used her again with my next issue, but this last time we are using her she is claiming she busy for the last 6 month now i have been in financial difficult which could of been resolve in a month now im losing my house and my kids because she is to busy to look st my stuff. I have one week to move and cant do anything about it.We have had little or no contact from Karen Burwash...... unsatisfied with her results for call backs....How in this world does this company come to think they are for the clients that come to them for help.....this will also be brought to the media(paper,radio,and television).....everything that has happened to us is due to the lack of support from Peter j. Moss and Associates....

Surpried that Karen Burwash calls herself a lawyer. Caused excessive pain to a painful situation. Never returned calls from the respondents lawyer, this could have avoided going to court and the stress that this caused for everyone involved. Does not know her stuff, told me our hearing was postponed found out hearing was a go without me, and when we went to court a month later, only then did I find out that a decision had been made without me the previous month and she did not inform me of this I found out when we attended court the following month, at my expense for her being for what reason?

Our court case has been going on for over a year, with many UNNECESSARY EXPENSES, all due to her lack of response to anything, even orders from a judge were ignored. She is not my lawyer but the lawyer for the other side and her lack of anything resembling replies has cost ME thousands of UNNECESSARY EXPENSE DOLLARS. She indeed does not respond to emails, phone calls, requests, or court orders, and I cannot understand how she keeps getting away with this, why she hasn't been reprimanded by a judge. It boggles my mind how unprofessional and inept she is.

Said she would have appraisal done on family home and then 6 months later called and asked if I had done it. Won’t return E-mail. One year later I’m forced to get another lawyer. Very unprofessional.

Terrible, nearly impossible to deal with. Finding new representation really illustrated how useless she was. I had to pretty much threaten to leave every time I wanted to get an answer or response, whenever I showed up in person and demanded a meeting all of a sudden she had all the time in the world for me. I've had to delay my trial due to the fact that she couldn't be bothered to forward (not even compose) some emails to appropriate professionals. When I withdrew representation Pete Moss(the owner of the firm) stated "I hate people who need their hands held". I was more than willing to do things if she had ever bothered to return correspondence to let me know they needed doing. This is why I was paying a lawyer...duh. Billed at me more than her quoted rate, although the one nice thing I'll say is that was corrected without any argument. I still feel I grossly overpaid though. I'm at least 6 months behind on my custody case due to her incompetence and excuses.

Everything everyone has said about her lack of communication is completely true. My divorce became volatile and I needed her assistance quickly and after 3 weeks of emails and phone calls begging for her help she never returned any of them. I had to search out another lawyer and fired her immediately. What a terrible experience. I can't believe someone would be so unprofessional when dealing with family matters where children are involved.

Very difficult to get in touch. She did not go to court for client on date appointed, resulting in a warrant being issued and client being charged for not complying to court order. After that, she did not explain to court that it was due to her fault.
