This lawyer was paid up front, (mistake 1) and did not ever even call or set up a meeting until the court date. Once I showed up he didn't even know how I was. Needless to say, I walked in and handed him the case and he made an embarassment of my case. He did not know anything about me or the reason we were even there. This being my first time ever using a lawyer, I have found this to be the worst experience ever. I lost my children, got handed the max child support and got no visitation. I cry every night because I chose to go with this guy. I would have been better off representing myself. I know this sounds like I am bitter, and admittedly I am. But I did everything I was supposed to do and still got nothing. And to top it all off, the only reason I was in court is that I wanted to legitmize my daughter. Thats what happens in the Ga. courts when you try to do the right thing.
