I hired Brian Perskin during a desperate time for me and stuck with him because I didn’t know any better; I hired him to be the legal professional. I learned too late in the game that he has no idea what he’s doing and no business practicing law. All of my worst suspicions became reality when his decisions became legal missteps, one after the other. He’s careless and not very knowledgeable. Also, apparently not well liked by the judges we were in front of. He was in way over his head and landed up abandoning me in the middle of my case.

Was a previous client of his. Hired him because of feedback that was read was generally positive.
Without going into a 10 page rant about how horrible he is, i will just say why i ended our agreement.
I ended up waiting in court for over 3 1/2 hours for him to show.
Not only did he not show, no call or text to say he is running late or that he couldnt make it.
I ended up representing my self and dropped my custody case against the ex.
Basically your typical bad service after money had transferred hands.
Doesnt repond to emails until weeks later.
Asked him to respond to opposing attorneys letter, tells me weeks later that he "charges" for letters. Which was happily left out when he was hired.
Words from the judge "Seems Mr Perskin has abandoned his client"
Save your money, go find someone that actually cares.
I on the other hand have already filed a complaint against him with the
new york state bar association and new york state courts.

Saved me. When you need a fighter hire him. He is a pit bull. Personally, I only judged him on results and advice. Both were on point.

Brian is extremely verbally abusive, manipulative, liyimg, unethical, arrogan, condescending, out of control in his rage thief, who’s place is in jail. I had a strong suspicion that Perskin colluded with my “monied” wife shortly after I have ran out of my retainer. His best skill is silent treatment with his clients, to keep them as uninformed as possible, while he does all the negotiations with the opposing spouse about how to screw you over in the worst way possible. Mine was a straight forward case of division of marital assets, including the sale of the vacation home in LI. This crimiinal has yelled at me on the day of the trial in his fury at me for disagreeing to accept my wife’s proposal of 10% of the marital assets. At the trial he covered up all my wife’s thefts and money laundering’s, discredited me as faking my physical disability, yelled at my witness “I will call you to testify, go make full of yourself!” but never did.He is a disgrace to a legal profession. Very EXPENSIVE and very poor communication. Arrogant, overcharges. Charged me 2.5 hours for the 35 minute court appearance. Failed to INFORM me that a conference in his office was cancelled. Failed to inform me that he agreed to an adjournment court date and I only found out a day before the appearance. Furthermore likes to DRAG cases as long as possible and squeeze as much money as possible. Do not fall for his "sweet talk" and "free consultation". Once you pay the retainer you won't be able to get him to return your calls but he will bill you without fail even if you walk into his office to drop off documents as though you had a full consultation.

For a guy who was completely unprepared, ignorant of basic Court Procedure, and unwilling to work, he sure thinks a lot of himself! DO NOT hire this man. He is nasty, unprofessional, unreliable, a liar, and unethical. He violated privilege in a number of ways. He billed me for things he did not do. He tried to take credit for a facet of my dispute with my ex that I decided to handle myself -- he had NOTHING to do with it, yet he tried to pass it off as though he argued the case! Good Lord, this man should be in jail.

Really?? Does anyone ever bother checking Brians ratings on all the websites? He is either rating himself(which would be really sad) or someone is doing it deliberately for him. I hired brian for a custody case, simply put he either showed up late consistently or didnt show up at all. Whats worse he would tell me that i dont pay him enough to do that? dont waste your time or money with him
