ROBERT LAING STOLE 14,000 FROM ME! TOOK MY MONEY AND AGREED TO FILE A CASE IN STATE COURT. A VERY VERY WINNING CASE BY ANY LAWYERS STANDARDS.. TO START HE REFUSED TO COMMUNICATE, LIED WHEN HE DID, WAS BEGGED TO FILE THE CASE FOR OVER A YEAR.SAID HE WOULD, PROMISED HE WOULDNT LET TIME RUN OUT OF COURSE EVENTUALLY..TO OUR DISMAY.TIME RAN OUT,THEN HE FILED IT KNOWING IT WAS TOO LATE.NOT KIDDING HERE.OF COURSE CASE WAS KICKED OUT FOR UNTIMELY FILING, THEN BILLED US FOR THAT!KEEP IN MIND HE DID NOTHING HE WAS ASKED TO, DIDNT INTERVIEW WITNESSES OR INVESTIGATE ANYTHING, WE EMAILED AND SENT CERTIFIED LETTERS, DEMAND LETTERS, CALLED HIS OFFICE LEFT MESSAGES.TO OUR DISBELIEF AND AGAINST OUR WISHES HE THEN FILED IN FEDERAL COURT.MESSED THAT UP HORRIBLY.NONSENSICALLY BILLED THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE TIME PERIOD, AFTER HE REFUSED TO REFUND US OUR MONEY FOR NOT FILING THE STATE CASE,WE TOLD HIM TO DO NOTHING MORE, TO STOP, HE CONTINUED ANYWAY JUST TO BE ABLE TO BILL NONSENSICALLY WE CONTACTED THE BAR..

No communication to client. No case updates. Unprepared for case on court date and admitted that you judge. Court documents filed with grammatical and factual errors. Miscommunicated continuances to client. Had no knowledge of financial paperwork that his office requested from client and which he billed for purpose of review. Overbills for reviewing of documents. Charged exorbitant fees for travel time and court appearance. Charged much, much more than original fee quoted despite doing no additional preparation for case. Had to telephone his office, furious, twice in order to get any reply for email inquiries...despite being billed for "reviewing" my communications.

No communication, poorly prepared for court case, completely discounted notes by client. Was asked specifically for monthly itemized billing, never provided.

This attorney is the worse I had to deal with. He uses clients for his own interest, just to rip them off. As he said himself; "churning the file", which means, taking his time while doing nothing for their client and charging up their bill. He is a HORRIBLE AND CARELESS. NEVER USE HIM. We hope he loses his license so he won't rip honest people off anymore.

Only use this attorney if you can not possible lose your case. Even then you will have to do most of the work and keep on him and be charged for it. Only choose if you want to lose.
