One of the higher charging divorce lawyers, John Zarzynski was a mediator in my high conflict divorce. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone or use him again. Typically people pay their own legal fees (when they both work etc). Zarzynski said that when he runs workshops (I think he called them that) for judges he recommends that legal fees are divided in proportion to the incomes of the parties. Apparently that's not true. He used fear tactics with me and I ended up having to pay part of my ex's legal fees (many $1000s). He seemed not to care in the least, just wanting to get it over and collect his outrageous fees ($400/hr for mediation). There are MUCH better mediators out there.
