I think the negative reviews are very unfortunate. My experience with Mr. Brownback was a 10-star, if there were such a rating. He was sensitive and caring - and the outcome of my case could not have been better. He not only got the job done, but he got it done professionally and humanely. I would - and will - recommend him to anyone I have a chance to! (I only rated VALUE because I was required to - however, it was a court-appointed case, so I don't know how he charges.)

He was assigned to represent me in a criminal contempt of court hearing to show cause for not being capable of paying 146% of my income to Aarn L. Bell in 3 weeks. He set aside motions for scheduled payments, continuance and fair trial; then informed me all he had to do was show up. I now have to pay 320% of my VA disability & SS income; and I fled NC in fear for my life. He continues to refuse to speak to me about any solution. I am 74 and now homeless although I own a home; and I am actively seeking poltical & religious asylum from USA. NC judiciary needs full federal investigation and prosecution for racketeering and criminal assault and battery in courtrooms.

I AM A SINGLE MOTHER THAT HAS MY ABUSIVE EX HUSBAND HARRASSING ME IN COURT. THIS WAS AN EXTREMELY IMPORTANT CASE THAT HE NEVER TOOK SERIOUSLY AT ALL. NO RETURN PHONE CALLS --AND I HAVE CALLED HIM HUNDREDS OF TIMES IN THE LAST MONTH. COULD NOT EVEN SEE HIM. DURING THIS 8 MONTH ORDEAL I HAVE SEEN HIM TWO TIMES. HE IS NOW WITHHOLDING IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM ME SO I'M FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE NC STATE BAR ASSOCIATION AND SO SHOULD ANYONE ELSE THAT HAS TO DEAL WITH THIS RIDICULOUSLY INCOMPITENT "ATTORNEY"

I have been calling this joke of a law firm for over a month trying to get information for my disabled brother to NO AVAIL. They DO NOT believe in returning phone calls or answering emails either. THis is TERRIBLE customer service! I also explained that I live in New Jersey with hopes of getting assistance from them and advised that I would be driving down from New Jersey to help my brother however once I arrived in North Carolina, I was told that the court date had been changed. Nevermind the fact that I called them BEFORE I left NJ and during my trip....this was NEVER stated to me!!

I used this attorney and I was really satisfied with the overall response I got to my questions and I would recommend this attorney to anyone who has a speeding ticket in Moore, Scotland, Hoke county. Mr. Brownback is a compassionate lawyer.

The second lawyer had to hire! Never thought it could be worse than my first was, but maybe was! They competed for first worst! 100% INCOMPETENT!
