Horrible horrible commissioner ever! Very unfair and definitely is the type that will ONLY side with moms no matter the situation! Although, Utah is a mom state is there’s lots of evidence that the mom is doing dirty things towards the father to keep the child away and harm the child (mentally) why you YOU as a commissioner side with the mom?! Like reading all these reviews the day prior, I was hoping she wasn’t the way people said she said, but nope she sure was!! She definitely could care less about what’s in the best interest of children. She only cares about mothers and mothers only, even if proof is in her face with how unstable they are! She only cares about TWO things when she’s in that courtroom and that’s a paycheck and mothers! She needs to lose her position!!! Especially since basically lots of people feel the same way about her!

At first she was very inappropriate. She let the opposing party present allegations without credibility. She went with it as truth! After I got some good advice I was able to advocate and she was receptive! But she did ultimately leave my daughter with her abuser .. Sadly as a result my daughter has many attempts at taking her life and ours. Now I understand why she went with certain rulings.. my case is completely settled with no restrictions but I'm actually upholding some of her previous rulings for safety of my other children. She's very emotional and reactive. Puts children in a decision making role. One thing I can say is her vocabulary is extremely strong. I learned more words from her than anyone I've ever met. She changed my life forever. I don't understand how she still holds her position. I also can't imagine being in her position. Probably doing her best with a very hard job.

I had a hearing with Commissioner Kuhn and she was fair to both sides and took the time to let me share my thoughts on record regarding a protective order. She respectfully and patiently heard me and the outcome ended up being what both of us wanted. I also watched her with several cases that were heard before mine and she had a kind and professional tone to her voice with each person she spoke with. She knew what she was doing and had answers to peoples questions and she took the time to make sure everything was in order for each case. She didn't rush anyone, she didn't put anyone off, she gave each person their turn and listened thoughtfully. I was very impressed with her services to the public.

I had Kim M Luhn as my commissioner she was obviously one sided from the start it was as if it was because I am a guy she started the first hearing off by yelling at me basically screaming. She showed no interest in listening to anything that I had to say she was aware of my health issues with my life threatening disease and she ordered me to move out of my house that my inheritance got me and my ex wife into this caused me to be homeless and without my Oxygen supply and bipap machine. This should be considered attempted murder. I reported her to Judicial conduct administration and I also showed these other reviews of how corrupt this Commissioner is and they don't care they just dismissed the complaint this system is so corrupt its so disgusting commissioner Kim M Luhn ruined my life and has made it hard for me to even want to live and it's more than obvious she has ruined others and still gets to stay in office to ruin more

This commissioner conducted herself very poorly in the courtroom. I realized very quickly that she and the lawyer for opposing counsel were a little too friendly for my comfort. In earlier emails, I was accidentally copied on some of the back and forth between the commissioner’s office and opposing counsel, in which opposing counsel made unkind remarks about me. I didn’t even know this attorney and he was attacking me. It hadn’t occurred to me that the commissioner’s conduct would be equally deplorable in the courtroom. The very last thing she said before banging her gavel was a snarky remark about my trying to get into nursing school. It was just so out of left field and unnecessary. No one should be made to feel the way I was made to feel by this commissioner. She’s an absolute disgrace.

Commissioner Luhn makes judgments based on her own personal bias and does not look at facts. She refused to look at crucial evidence including police reports, witness statements, and pictures documented with the police. She threatened me that I was going to lose custody of my kids for listening to and comforting my child. She asked opposing counsel how to rule. She supports abuse of women and children. She should be removed.

I'm actually astounded at the amount of complaints on the page, that are for the exact same reason I showed up here. Kim Luhn literally refuses to look at or acknowledge evidence, she rants and raves and insults clients and their attorneys alike, then refuses to see their evidence that contradicts the other parties "evidence". Her "ruling" was absolutely based on her own opinion, her sour mood and her very obvious certainty that her opinions are actually above the law. Everything came down to hearsay, wouldn't even look at the evidence from discovery. How is this part of our "Justice" system.

As a ruling authority in Family Court she needs to retire. Recent hearing she blabbed on and on with her "opinions" that were not based in facts of the case and ruled without understanding that opposition submitted proveable lies as their case and this was not the 1st time. Some connection with opposition lawyer must be there. Disgraceful and will be appealed and most likely overturned.

She is the worst Commissioner I’ve ever seen. Hateful, arrogant, and biased. She only cares about the well-being of her pockets and her friends. She’s allowed openly false claims in court and refuses to see both sides of the situation. Does not care for the well-being of the children at all. She openly and freely makes it clear that she favors one side over the other. She needs to be removed.

She denies equal parent time for no reason. Favors the bad parent over the good parent. Luhn is hostile and parasitic. The money is used for custodial parent's pleasure, not the child. Children suffer while this venomous snake poisons the parent-child relationship. Expel Commissioner Luhn from Utah.

If you are a male and are looking for fairness from Commissioner Luhn my suggestion is to settle with the other party, Ive gone before her 5 times and each time she has sided with my e-wife, go into any hearing with the understanding that your odds of a fair trial is 40-60 with no kids and 20-80 with kids. She postponed my trial by a year! cost me thousands in attorney fees because she said that "I had adequate evidence but she was going to punt!" Punt! I am only writing this for any men that might have the misfortune of going before ms. Luhn her entire basis is "It's for the children"

Commissioner sided with the abusive parent household because "Kids need their mom" though the evidence and court documents were completely ignored and offered evidence that the children would be safer in a different custody situation. Zero regard for the history of the case "this is taking too long" and zero regard for child safety. ZERO.

Horrible! Commisioner luhn gave my child to his father after I tried to file for a protective order and restraining order against my sons dad. My sons dad was later charged with child neglect and continued to give him custody. Dcfs finally took over the case. And becaise I lost custody once already my son is now in foster care. She has no care for the best interest of children. I supported my child in everyday. She is biased and doesn't care about facts or evidence. She needs to be removed from her statue. She is endangering children all over salt lake city!

I had to get a protective order against a convicted felon that just got out of prison. However went in front of commissioner Luhn on this protective order and she allowed the lying felon to present his case and did not allow me to respond to hardly anything he had to say. She was very biased and when I wanted to elaborate on this felon and what he had to say. she would not let me but in fact shut me down. In my opinion she helps convicted felons and even gave him a car I purchased way before any marriage took place knowing he does not have a license and hasn’t for many years. This felon has many many criminal activity in multiple states even under false names especially taken police on chases due to his drug use and having a gun. If he was caught with the gun he would go to federal prison immediately for many many years. Commissioner Luhn has not done her research and refused once again to allow me to speak about that. This felon also has a very long criminal record in the state of uta

This woman needs to be removed from her station. She sat at the podium and verbally berated my daughter and allowed her daughter's father's family to sit in the court and laugh at my daughter while she called her disgusting, deplorable and much more. My daughter is a good mother and now has no decision making ability in her daughter's life. Her ex brought his family and afterwards they waited out side for my daughter and laughed and called her names and filmed her. And this Kim Luhn thought he would be the best parent for my grand daughter. She made her decision from an emotional standpoint. Never even reading my daughters response. Just read her ex's and made a decision. What kind of justice is that where the judge doesn't read both sides? She is the one who is disgusting and deplorable. Shame on her.

She is forcing children into squalid childcare facilities while denying the parents the right of first refusal. In other words this vile commissioner is denying the parent the right to take care of their children by forcing them in childcare. This disgraceful commissioner Luhn is dictating from the bench. She will award custody to the unfit, irresponsible, negligent, immoral, unstable, and abusive parent, instead of a fit, responsible, loving, stable, moral and attentive parent. This commissioner should be sued until she is bankrupted and spends her entire life in debt and despair since this is exactly what she is doing to the responsible, better parent. Salt Lake third district voters should be outraged. Commissioner Luhn should be fired immediately before she destroys more lives and children and prosecuted under the fullest extent of law for her war against innocent children.

I sat for a few of her trials and I was very impressed. She was straight to the point, very kind and very professional. She almost can see through people when they tried to pull a fast one. She was very caring especially when children are involve. The most memorable statement she made was when she told a couple that "your children have the right to love you both without disparaging remarks from you in front of the children".

Unbelievable that you are proved guilty with hearsay evidence that just shows you how the legal system can work and why people take things into there own hands if anyone can just call the police and make untrue accusations and the police never notify the person they are making the complaint and you are proven guilty there is something wrong with the legal system

She is a very rude commissioner, thinks she can overrule a judge! Takes one side and that's it! I hope that judge R Mckelvie is much better! Because Kim Luhn sets an example that a non custodial parent can kidnap there child and then enter her court with unclean hands and she will order them custody over a judges order! I am also complaining to the jcc I think she is wrong!

Kim has great knowledge of the law. She was no nonsense and straight to the point when I was calling for facts. When I felt the need to explore all my options she was willing to spend the time to explain it all to me. I have recommended to her to many of my friends and family and everyone that I sent to her were very satisfied with her services.

I guess people just write reviews when they are mad at their experience. I had the complete opposite experience with Kim Luhn than these other reviews. She was very professional, she knows how to get the job done, and she is well respected in the law world. She didn't waste time like my previous attorney. She was aggressive and actually did her job. She's a no nonsense kind of attorney. Divorces take time, and there are laws that have to be abided by with how much time to wait for things, and how things have to be done. Which when you want to be divorced, can be frustrating. She actually keeps track of her hours spent on the case and is honest in her billing (unlike my experience with my previous attorney). I felt like Kim was my advocate from start to finish with the case. If you want someone who knows how to get the job done and will be your advocate, you definitely want Kim Luhn to represent you!

She seems like a real nice attorney at first, then she does not do her job and makes excuses for not doing it. She drags the cases out as long as she can and milks them for all they are worth, and then refuses to finish them. She seems to really care until it is time for her to do something and then she keeps stalling, and stalling, one of her coments was "a good attorney knows when to do nothing" My comment is a lazy attorney knows how to make excuses. My feeling is if the case is cut and dry she might be allright, if she has to work, research, fight for you, then good luck because you will need it.
