Norman Pattis is terrible he takes your money acts like he cares about helping you. He didn't call me for 1 year during my case, didn't provide any evidence or witnesses, didn't even do any research. HE just likes the lime light if you're cases doesn't make the news forget. And Mrs.Paez is just as bad. He should be ashamed of him self ruining people's life's when then come to you for help.

I had a great experience when Norman Pattis was recommended to me by my Attorney when we were in a difficult situation and needed an expert in the field of criminal law.He earned every cent he asked for and gave my family excellent representation and gave amazing clarity to what could and could not happen in our trial. The end results were favorable and just and we will always recommend this intelligent and passionate attorney he is a star.

Norm Pattis is, like many in his profession is only interested in getting money for as little work possible. He will always go for pleas rather than trial. He is actually very lazy and his understudy Ms. Paz is even worse.

I am a puerto rican / black minority male needed help and this greedy man asked me for $10,000.00 up front and I bought him lunch as a nice person that I am and he left minutes after he ate the free lunch. He made me believe that he was my savior and that I needed him. Cashed my $10,000.00 check almost immediately and for months didn't communicate with me and I didn't hear from him until I called him to ask for a call back. I advised him because of the lack of communication and the lack of faith I had in him I would need my money back. He told me he listened to an audible recording that was about 45 minutes long, made some phone calls and spoke to me on the phone he would keep $2500.00 from thev$10,000.00. I told him that we never signed a retainer agreement and nothing was agreed upon for rates and fees. He said that he was keeping $2,500.00. This money hungry man is selfish only thinking about himself and $$$. My brothers and sisters out there needing help, call me at 860-805-3965

Mr. Pattis is a man i owe my life too. He is straight forward and to the point. His knowledge of the law is remarkable, you will never find another attourney as smart and experienced like him. I was facing up to 60 years and Mr. Pattis and his associates walked me out the court room. He is was a fighter every step of the way and worked to no end to prove my innocence. He was honest with me no matter the question and the never sugar coated a thing. He is an artist in the court room, his eye for detail impeccable. When he speaks eveyone listens to what he has to say because he speaks and works with so much heart and conviction. Mr. Pattis breaks the stereotype of attourneys with determination for the truth. His extensive knowlegde of the law enabled me to get my life back. I never thought i would ever need legal representation , nor do i plan on it ever again, but Mr. Pattis and i have forged a life long friendship and respect for one another. BINGO!!!

Doesn't return calls even after you pay a large retainer, but doesn't have a problem taking your money immediately, He lacks respect of the client and does not communicate well with you. It feels like he is doing you a FAVOR by representing you no matter how much money you pay him.

Terrible. Refused to preserve the key,core evidence. seriously lacks discretion. not trustworthy or honest.ignores client consent, fibbed to client AND to the court. Wouldn't receive the complete underlying incident facts of the case and as time went by, continued to be uninterested in them. Altogether, forced to conclude he took the case for the retainer alone, all of which he keeps even if you fire him after one hour of work, and you will want to. A fake.a press hound. Obsessed with psychoanalysis. Denigrate law clients overall in blogs.Will often denigrate specific clients w/ enuf detail to ID the client how his AV rating could be based on his record? That rating lowers opinion of members of Conn. bar for giving it. suspect rating based on hype and chumminess with colleagues because actual record is sloppy and so many cases are just crap -- go read his cases. think so little of him I won't hire any lawyer that has a good opinion of him

I(Mike Daubert)wholeheartedly recommend him for any criminal or civil litigation matters. He is extremely bright, competent, pragmatic, resourceful, an excellent litigator and offers exemplary strategic and tactical advice and counsel. He is an excellent defender of your rights, negotiator of your charges and mediator of complex cases. He has a brilliant legal mind, is tenaciously aggressive on your behalf and is unswervingly professional. His knowledge of the law and profound passion for justice can not be put into words. He is smart as a whip and I have never met such a knowledgeable lawyer before. Norm is everything others have said here and more. However the best endorsement I can give is that if I am ever in need counsel, he's the guy and he is the first lawyer I recommend to my family and good friends in any legal issue. He is very good at his job and I am so glad I had him in my corner. If you want a lawyer who will stand up and fight on your behalf this is the man you want.

Norm Pattis treated me with such respect and care. He was on my side from the moment I walked into his office. He was honest and forthright. I did not feel judged, I did not feel rushed or railroaded. To have his level of expertise working on my behalf made the ordeal bearable. I was afraid and overwhelmed and he handled my case with great concern as if I were the only client. I remain forever grateful for his fine legal mind on my behalf.

I recommend Norm to ANYONE that needs the BEST lawyer in the worst way!!! I would trust Norm with my life. WHY?? Because He already saved it.. He was up front with my situation and my chances. I was ready to just cop out just to be done with it all. But I decided to put my trust in Him. And guess what... I was set FREE !!! Not guilty on ALL counts!!! Go Norm!! And watching him work from the defence table was like watching a movie..WOW!!! I still tell the story of the Big red "F" on the forehead. .lol.. If there is a way, Norm will find it.....

Without question he is amongst the finest and most skilled attorneys that I have hired in the past 35 years that include the finest and most established law firms available from Skadden, Wilke, Baker, Manatt,and others. All did well but Norm distinguishes himself with me not only in his deep legal knowledge, keen legal positioning, but also because he is a superb fighter, a courtroom gladiator, that isn't afraid to get blooded and grapple with an opponent or the establishment. When you witness his defense of you in the courtroom you are not just glad of his skills you are in utter awe of his abilities. No one can defend you better. No one. I wish there were more Norm Pattis's around, he is hardworking, tenacious, conscientous,knowledgeable, and caring . My best description of him is "he is a pitbull in the courtroom" and no doubt in the judge's chamber. He is among the best that I have witnessed. His representation of his clients is not simply "his job". His caring spirit and empathy moves him to provide the best defense any client can ever ask for. He has defended some of the most scorned in our society and yet it didn't cause him to waiver in his belief that everyone deserves a great defense from an attorney who cares about the outcome of his/her case. He is cognizant of the failings of the criminal justice system and speaks to it publicly and in editorials and books written. He understands all too well how broken our system of justice. We need more Norm Pattis's. A man with a big heart!! Disappointing outcomes in cases should not tarnish his name because he always does his best. It's the system that fails. Kudos!

My name is Elizabeth Bodine. I was for some 15 years a Connecticut criminal prosecutor; I've knew Mr Pattis as a party-opponent during those years, and I currently know him personally. We've had heated arguments during trials; rarely, if ever, do we agree on anything. Having said that, let me also warmly recommend Mr Pattis He's smart, strong of will and mind, creative, and talented. Also, ethical, committed, loyal and reliable. Doesn't get better than smart and reliable in lawyers. Should the spectre of legal problems ever knock at my door, I would hire Mr Pattis in a NYC heartbeat.

My wife was being manipulated by a local Municipality and found herself in a situation where she needed a lawyer that would be a bulldog in the court room, that knew his way around the legsl system and that would FIGHT for her rights. Norm and his team were highly knowledgable and professional and together they came up with a strategy to help my wife. although getting thru to him by phone as been difficult, they are prompt with being at court to defend their client. i would recommend Norm Pattis and his team without hesitation. He was reccommended to be by a police officers wife as they had seen him in action. when you need a lawyer. you want someone that the prosecutor fears, the judges respect and that will put their ALL into defending you!

Norm is the of last in a dying breed from my experience. He is one of the few champions of justice remaining in a system that has become rife with with lawyers trying to make as much cash as possible off of anyone willing to pay the price. He has shown over the years I have known him that he was willing to go the distance if that was the way his clients wanted to go. He was also helpful when it came to making the decision to fight or deal, offering a good sounding board for the pro's and con's of each because even though the client may be right and innocent there can be a point where the damage sustained in the fight takes too much of a toll to continue.

My husband and I retained Norm Pattis for a CHRO action. Norm was very responsive to our concerns as my husband was still employed by the agency we were suing; he was with us every step of the way. The case went to federal mediation eventually and was settled successfully in our favor thanks to Norm's efforts. I appreciate Norm's honesty as he has no qualms about telling you frankly what he believes your chances are to win and how much it will cost. No surprises with him.

I paid him $20K and he ran - pushed off case to a junior lawyer and refused to answer calls or emails - was always in a meeting. Upon retaining him was promised that HE personally would oversee my case. Was found guilty but feel with Norm's involvement I would of had a different outcome.

I concur with the previous comments. "Cockroach" seems especially befitting. When I handed twenty thousand dollars over to Pattis, he told me that he would intimately supervise the case. That's the last I ever heard or saw from Pattis. Flunky Kevin Smith responded incompetently to a dispositive motion. When an adverse decision resulted, I had no Smith with whom to consult because Pattis had recently fired him. Pattis, however, refused to accept any telephone calls or respond to e-mails. His other flunky Kelly Rommel, on his orders, refused to take any step to undo the damage even though the federal rules allow for it; especially baffling when a district court usually grants such a remedial Fed.R.Civ.P. 15 filing. When I called other lawyers to take over the case, I gathered that they had received numerous previous inquiries from people screwed by Pattis. If you have any thought of retaining Pattis, DON'T! Run as far away from this wierdo egomaniac as you can!
