Looking for help defending your security clearance by responding to a Statement of Reasons? Look NO FURTHER THAN EDMUNDS LAW FIRM! They are truly fantastic! In short, Alan and his staff saved my 15 year career as a Gov’t Contractor. I received an SOR after filing two Chap 13 bankruptcies. I found Edmunds online and read the many positive reviews and success stories. I called and they put my mind at ease and explained their process, next steps and answered all my questions. Alan Edmunds himself personally represented me, and defended my character using the whole person concept. The secret clearance we fought for was adjudicated as FAVORABLE!! I owe a debt of gratitude I could never repay to Alan Edmunds and the rest of his talented staff for saving my career so I can continue as the primary wage earner in my family. Alan is an absolutely amazing attorney with a lot of experience. He serves his clients, humanity, and all people in a fashion that other attorneys should emulate. He’s a good friend of the veteran and LGBTQ communities who has helped countless people with military discharge upgrades, including myself, allowing us to serve our country again despite past regulations and laws. Alan was with me through every step of the way, handled everything very professionally, and was extremely supportive. Although sometimes he and his team can be very busy whilst travelling to hear very important cases and helping other clients, he and his team, including Dennis, always made the greatest effort to respond back to all of my questions, concerns, and comments in a prompt fashion.

I hired the Edmunds Law Firm after receiving the Statement of Reasons for my 2013 security clearance application denial. I was hopeless, after reviewing the long listed statements of reasons, that I would ever obtain a security clearance. All things included, from the professionally written SOR response to Attorney Edmunds personal appearance at my trial hearing, was well… well worth the fees I paid for his services. I have no doubt that without Alan Edmunds I would not have won my appeal. In fact, I wish I had hired his firm in 2009 when I was first denied the interim clearance.

I hired the Edmunds Law Firm; specifically, Alan Edmunds, to handle my
security clearance issue, as the research I conducted on the Internet
clearly pointed to him as THE expert in dealing with DoD security clearance
matters. Alan, and his staff, did an amazing job handling my case, and
representing me during my administrative hearing. I'll be honest -- I was
unsure what to expect from Alan, as I hired him telephonically, and
physically did not meet him until, literally, one hour prior to my hearing.
That being said, Alan was beyond prepared for my case, and represented me
flawlessly throughout my legal proceeding, as well as post-proceeding
matters. To date, I'm still awaiting the outcome of my case; however, I'm
100% confident I choose the absolute best attorney to represent my

I used the Edmund's Law Firm in my divorce and I was not pleased with the results. Over a period of one year, I had three different attorneys from Mr. Edmund's firm represent me. When I would ask what happened the other attorney working my divorce, their response was always, "They moved on." I never met with Mr. Edmund's nor was I ever represented directly by him. My understanding is he lives on the East coast and visits the office once a month. In the end, I had to fire them and used the services of another law firm. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I contacted the Edmunds Law firm about 2 months ago because my job offer was in jeopardy due to some misleading information I provided during my security interview. In short, I confused some dates around an event that happened over 10 years ago and the Edmunds Law Firm was able to file a successful appeal based on the accurate information I provided.
I initially consulted with another law firm in Northern Virginia, but because of their track record, I wasn't convinced they were the firm I should go with. I researched law firms that specialize in security clearance cases and discovered the Edmunds Law firm. The thing that convinced me to go with them was their page of successful cases. At least two of the cases cited were similar to mine, so I was very confident in their ability to handle my case. Sure enough, about a month after the paperwork for my appeal was submitted, I received a letter from the agency I applied to stating that my job offer was being reinstated!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
I used Alan Edmunds lawyer for my security clearance case on 2010. They charged flat rate for the hearing, The flat rate is cheaper compare to other lawyer charged, but services are cheap too. DO NOT WASTE COUPLE THOUSAND DOLLARS AND LOSE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WIN THE CASE. They did not told me the strategy how to win this case, and whatever they prepared for the hearing were other security clearance cases that post on government website and documents related to me. The hearing did not take very long because he did not have any documents or points to show to the judge. After case denial on the hearing, I paid them another couple thousand dollar to file the appeal, all they did were mailed my write up letter to appeal the case to the appeal office without anything else, which I could do it by myself. Either they already know this case is not going to win or they just do not case about the case, because the flat rate is pay advance, they already got the money.

This was a very unpleasant experience for me with this law firm. They don't fight hard enough and lack the experience to defend their clients. Every other month the entire staff changed, and in my short time with them I had 3 different attorneys on my case. You never see Alan, he just meets with you initially then leaves to his other east coast offices to worry about his real passion, the one in which he sells his books at the desk of his Encinitas office---Military Clearance. I lost my case and I felt like they could not have cared less about it. They made me feel like "Too bad, so sad, sucks to be you". I felt like they were mostly condescending to me, ESPECIALLY Alan. When I ever did hear from him, it was always very brief, almost as if it was a bother to call me. I felt no support whatsoever from this firm. I felt like this law firm only cared about getting paid. Alan Edmunds and his firm represented me in a very difficult spousal support arrears case. I am very pleased with his work and the work of his expert staff. After a long legal battle with many twists and turns, we won a favorable judgment against the claims of my former spouse. My marriage was a long term marriage, and support ceased after just 3 years because my former spouse earned a degree and began making good money. She sought arrears on the premise that I had tricked her into agreeing to support changes. I did not, as the evidence showed clearly. The skill of Attorney Edmunds and his staff revealed the truth of the issues involved and won the case for me. I highly recommend him and his firm. Me. I hired Alan Edmunds to respond to an SOR(Statement of Reasons) for a security clearance with the DoD. The SOR contained 3 reasons. I provided EXACTLY what was asked for mitigation. Within 2 weeks, the response was completed and sent to the adjudication office. Within 35 days, a favorable adjudication determination was made. The office staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very eager to help. After reading numerous positive results from previous clients, I have become another success story for this firm. I highly recommend the Alan Edmunds Law firm. A+++

I hired Alan Edmunds and his staff after doing a thorough search for family practice lawyers in Southern California. I was not disappointed in my decision to hire him. The Edmunds Law Firm helped me win a favorable decision from the court. My case was handled by Mr. Edmunds who did a remarkable job. His staff was professional and he is very experienced and knowledgeable. Dealing with this law firm was a great experience. I have used other law firms with younger attorneys who were only interested in taking my money. When I walked in the courtroom I was amazed at the respect the court showed Mr. Edmunds. He is well regarded among judges and attorneys. I would absolutely recommend this law firm . I have read other reviews that I suspect were written by ex employees or his competition ! His firm took my divorce case and charged me over $10,000 the first month. He never worked on my case, but delegated everything to his staff Attorneys and paralegals. When the retainer was gone his obnoxious wife/office manager started to harass me for more money. The divorce was very stressful and hiring the Edmunds firm made it worse. Stay away!!!

Really bad. MONEY, MONEY, MONEY is his main concern and not his clients. His staff is constantly changing because they can't stomach his ethics and tactics. He lives on the East Coast, but owns a practice in San Diego county. I would not recommend him for any services.

Alan has worked on my divorce and custody case for the past eight years and I do not believe that my sons would be living with me full time today without his guidance through what has been an incredibly long and complex case.He has brought not only a wealth of practical advice, which has allowed me to consistently make well-informed descisions, but also a warmth and a concern for me and the welfare of my family. Alan has been incredibly generous and patient in regards to fees and payments and has been more than willing to provide assessments of what any course of action might entail. He determines what is necessary to a case and gives me the final word of decisions. He has always made it clear, that while some costs cannto be controlled, there is much I can do to mitigate the expense of litigation. The Edmunds Law Firm is by far the best law firm I have ever used, and I have used a number over the years in the course of operating several businesses. Alan Edmunds took my family law case although he doesn't practice family law, he devotes his practice to military clearances. He submitted the wrong law in the pleadings to the court, of course I lost because the law Alan Edmunds briefed in papers was WRONG. Legal Malpractice. This attorney (if you want to call him one) doesn't know what he is doing in Family Law but advertises through his receptionist 32 yrs of Family Law experience. He will take your case but only because he wants to take your money. I wish I would have found this website before he ruined my case.

During the most stressful event in my life & in the life of my daughter, it is my opinion that Mr. Edmunds took complete advantage of us. Mr. Edmunds did not take responsibility when, under HIS direction, I was chastised in court for taking my daughter out of the county at the start of our divorce. His assistant had a difficult time writing articulate declarations or, indeed, a complete sentence, a job which I eventually did myself. Mr. Edmunds told me to take a portion of our LOE to live off of & then proceeded to burn through that entire cash settlement until it was completely gone. That being done, he wanted nothing else to do with us. Most egregiously, he often raced in to court at the very last moment, usually embarrassingly unprepared. He had little concern for my welfare or that of my duaghter during the scariest & most difficult time in our lives. I would never recommend him to anyone. I believe there are reputable attorneys. He is not one of them. My experience. My opinion.

I used this attorney in a custody against my ex wife. he did a great joba and retored my visitation with my son which was taken away because of false allegations by my ex wife. Mr. Edmunds was great in court. His fees were reasonable and he gave me a payment plan. His staff was professional and always calle me back
