She is amazing! We hired Elizabeth to help a family member with several legal issues. Her negotiating skills are top notch & she always went above and beyond. She was great at explaining possibilities/options and guided us through the legal system during a trying and difficult time. I highly recommend her & am thankful she was in our corner.

I hired Elizabeth Burr-Jones to handle a child custody matter. It was a complete waste of both money and time. After the first consultation, she became completely unavailable. She would not return phone calls and I was unable to schedule meetings with her because, according to her secretary/paralegal, "We don't do things that way here." All of my correspondence was expected to go through her incompetent staff. They missed the deadline to file my interrogatories, but assured me that those deadlines "didn't really matter." When I was finally able to get her on the phone and tell her that I was unhappy with her as an attorney, she started yelling about issues with her personal life. I tried to tell her that her personal issues shouldn't affect her professional performance as my attorney. She then yelled at me that she was withdrawing herself from my case. When I asked her how to go about getting my money back, she hung up on my and refused to take my calls. STAY AWAY!!!

Hired her for custody fight. Took my money and did nothing. Voiced my concerns to her office staff. They became ignorant and rude and refused to help me. Jones then called and yelled at me for questioning her work methods, or lack of methods. She said she is keeping my money and withdrawing from my case. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL IN EVERY ASPECT OF HER JOB.

The WORST attorney I could have ever hired. A complete waste of my money... her entire office was very rude and disrespectful...the most unorganized, unprofessional people I've ever had dealings with in my lifetime!! Don't hire this team, you will be dissatisfied with the results.

I don't know why everyone says bad things about her, she has always returned my calls and she won my child custody case for me. I have always heard nothing but good about her until I read the comments on this site. In my opinion she is the BEST attorney you can get when dealing with child custody.

I think that the first two people have her pegged perfectly. She is a good one to have on your side when you can get her attention. Unfortunately, that is not easy to do after you've paid your retainer. It doesn't do anyone any good if your lawyer doesn't communicate with you!

I don't know why the other person was unhappy with Elizabeth. Her reputation in the Magic Valley is she is the attorney to hire before your spouse can during a divorce or child custody action. I don't know why you have her as a primary criminal lawyer, her secretary told me 70 percent of her business is divorce and child custody. I must have been told a dozen times, buy people who lost in court to her, they wished they had hired her. When a family friend told me he would hire Elizabeth if he was getting a divorce it was settled. Elizabeth was very good at explaining the process to me and all my options. When I called her office I received a call back from her within 24 hours. When my Ex's attorney tried to pull the wool over the judge's eyes she exposed the lies and got the child custody settlement I was told I could expect.

Elizabeth was the poorest communicator I have ever dealt with. She would not return my calls or emails. I would be forced to make an appointment to discuss the the most minor of details, stuff that could have been handled in 2 minutes on the phone. Her followup was also extremely poor. She will promise you the world until you pay the retainer, then she will disappear. Hire her at your own risk.
