Phenomenal Lawyer! I came to Emily after spending a ton of money with another lawyer who not only guided me wrong the entire time she also convinced me, that my ex and his lawyer were wrong……. Said lawyer also decided to drop me after draining me of $40k the only money she knew I had.
With Emily, I was so worried because I ended up obtaining her via financial aid and honestly I felt like maybe lawyers thought we were burdens because we earn them less… that’s not at all how Emily is..
Not at all!
Emily is incredibly knowledgeable and wise in her jurisdiction as well as others nearby.. she’s also so kind, thorough and to the point. She will not waste your time.. explains things over and over if she needs to so that you are comfortable and never makes you feel like you’re less than or anything. Her level of care and compassion helped my extremely guarded self eased from the very first phone call!

Emily was a great aid at a time of need. Dealing with lawsuits and having multiple charges thrown at you is always a stressful time. Emily was able to assist me with everything I needed and was able to continuously reassure me and give me peace of mind at a time of craziness. Emily was my lawyer for my divorce and custody issues, and I can’t thank her, the paralegal Francis, and the KPA Lawyers team enough for helping my daughter and I get through the most difficult chapter in our lives. When going through something as significant as this, often alone and dealing as a single mom starting over, you need a legal team who will be compassionate, on the ball, and act on your behalf always with your best interests in mind - she and Francis were caring, considerate, professional, open to my concerns and endless questions, and pulled out the “big guns” when we needed to which is the best way to efficiently and effectively manage these situations and ultimately minimize financial, emotional, and mental damage that unfortunately come with divorce, legal complexities, and heated custody battles. Emily Banks and KPA lawyers were our lifesavers in our family court case. Emily is very knowledgeable and professional. She was honest and straightforward when informing us of what our legal options were to allow us to be successful. Our case was very sensitive, emotional and stressful but Emily’s empathy and understanding made the situation much more manageable. Her endearing nature and her friendly manner made you feel like family and that made our communications a lot easier but yet very informative. Family law cases can be drawn out and as a result expensive however Emily and KPA arranged a payment plan specifically for our family which helped us tremendously. Emily was outstanding as she guided us through the family court process and she negotiated on our behalf and her efforts resulted in a very successful outcome. Emily, and the people at KPA, were professional and responsive and I was always welcomed by the staff in a friendly matter. Getting a lawyer can be intimidating and emotional, but Emily and KPA made it feel easy. Even though I had to go through legal aid to finance her, at no point did they make me feel like I was not good enough to afford a lawyer outright myself. Throughout my family court matter, Emily was thorough and detailed. She is very knowledgeable and answers your questions in a way that is easy to understand. She fought for me in my legal matter as if it were her in my place. If I am ever in need of a lawyer again in the future, Emily and the staff at KPA will be my first call. I had an unresolved divorce matter & took on Emily Banks & after all said in done felt like someone twisted my arm into taking a****ty deal. Hired a new lawyer finding out there was loop holes in my past court order, which Emily Banks should have taken care of. $15000.00 down the drain & still my case is unresolved with on going legal fees from another law firm.

VERY simple Emily Bamks is not going to go far. most deceiving lawyer I have ever came across. DO NOT hire this depraved lawyer. I wouldn't go for KPL but if you do. ask for Sasha, she is very fresh new but honest!!! they have wasted so far $7000 from me. all because of EMILY BANKS.

This Law Firm is run by the most greedy and unprofessional people in this industry and geography.
For more than a month, they were lying to me that my matter is filed in the Court and extracted 1400 CAD - and not even filed single paper in court on my behalf/case. When I wanted to check on the status of my filing (which was not even filed since they were lying to me) - It took me an entire week to have them over phone and sit across the engaged Lawyer Emily Banks (and I am supposed to pay for this time too, even after there was no update from them on my file from their office).
When I went to "Superior Court of Justice" in Brampton myself, only then I got to know that no single paper for my case was ever filed in the court. The lawyer Emily Banks (and Preet Pannu) was lying to me all this while in entire engegement and charged me 1400 CAD for something which never got filed in the court even. They used the templated documents and replaced it with my name and address (and just copie
