I had the great privilege of hiring Sherri Donovan as my divorce mediator. I say privilege because it is not every day one finds a caring, compassionate and expert professional in an emotionally devastating time. I wanted a fair settlement honoring myself and the years spent with my husband. She was extremely knowledgeable, concise, explained everything clearly and didn’t waste time. She’s also a skilled negotiator. Going well beyond the call of duty, she accommodated our international schedules. Divorce is not easy, but she made it bearable and I am happy with the outcome. As far as my ex-husband’s viewpoint, well, you’d have to ask him.

I hired Ms. Donovan to go to trial on my court case and paid my retainer. Months later, while walking in to court with literally 15 minutes to go, she strongly urged me to settle. I object to this legal practice, I object to someone taking all my money and then switching on me at the last minute, I object to her pretense of caring and compassion. Bottomline, if you want someone on YOUR side, do not hire this one.

I have used Sherri Donovan twice now, and would gladly hire her again if the need arose. She has always struck me as attentive and caring. Like most (all?)lawyers, her services are somewhat expensive, but I always got the feeling she was billing me for actual hours and working efficiently, so the final bill was within reason. Oh, it doesn't hurt to mention that we prevailed in court both times, so she clearly knows what she is doing.

i have to agree with much of what has been already written here. my experience was very similar. she is very nice, but is always distracted and makes errors, either in issues of law or about the simple facts of the case. she always seems overwhelmed w/ other issues or cases. she constantly waited to the last minute to get to important matters. i lost confidence in her ability to help my case.

She was always late for court appearences, and when she got there she was alway seem distracted.
while on court she would alway use her cell phone to talk to other clients except you.
