I found him responsive initially to my needs but at the first major hurdle, he abandoned ship! I found him to be direct/frank in his initial approach which was good, but then quick to go on holiday when the going got tough. He brought ideas to the table at first and he was quite vigilant about my situation. But what's the use of this if he's going to renounce the challenge so easily? Flakey. Like many lawyers, he leads you to believe that you have a case, then he disappears when things don't go smoothly.

From professional perspective, Mr. Thibault is an expert in family court issues and has the ability to exploit every single little detail in the laws for his client's benefit. Frankly speaking, Mr. Thibault always answers queries promptly via emails or over the phone. He is really a wonderful and gentlemen person. Honestly I was lucky to choose Mr. Thibault to be my family lawyer. His great efforts with me are really appreciated.

Pas du tout une bonne expérience. Je recommande de l'éviter. Il est toujours en colère, toujours impatient, généralement mal préparé. Il cherche à s'en sortir facilement, mais parfois le travail doit être fait correctement. Des années après ma propre expérience avec lui, j'ai entendu des avocats se moquer de quelqu'un, et juste par ce qu'ils disaient, j'ai deviné que ce devait être lui. J'ai demandé qui c'était, et bien sûr, c'était lui. Il est vraiment l'incarnation de la mauvaise image stéréotypée de l'avocat.

Seriously? What joke. The comments are right on. Rude, lazy, arrogant. I would not recommend him. He does know the procedures well, and has experience so he knows how to present himself before the courts, but I still would not want to have anything to do with him again. If you are thinking of hiring him at least talk with him in person first. For us, now, whenever we hear a joke to the detriment of lawyers, it is his image that we imagine.

He is the best. I add take im and 15 of my friend to. He will fight for you and for the best of your child. He know what he is doing. He is Really professionnal and he will allwayse respect the law. If you try to unrespect the law and trying to fight with lie. He will ask you to take a other attorney and he will refuse to take your file. Be honest with im he is not stupid.

I am truly shocked at the bad reviews. Me Thibault has been my lawyer for almost 2 years. He listened to my story and represented me on a legal aid mandate. We just finished court and I am truly in awe at watching him work. As someone else stated, he will go to war for you. He went beyond that. He fought like hell for the best interest of my child. He is EXACTLY the lawyer you want in your corner. I would recommend him to anyone I know!

It's unfortunate these associate clients have had negative experiences. I can only say that I have been a client of Benoit for four years so far and I haven't been disappointed with the outcomes of very contentious proceedings. Benoit is logical, knowledgeable, and above all else, he will go to war with you.

This attorney is abusive. He does not file paperwork correctly. He makes lots of mistakes, shows up late to court and does not cooperate very well. Stay away from him unless you do not care about the quality of the work and the communication with the clients.

Stay away from him!! He never fight for us, we do the job since he never offers us any options. NEVER return a call or answer emails except when he wants to be paid. Very frustrating situation.

Work is half done and always needs to re-assesed or reviewed costing me more and more instead of getting it done properly the first time. Deadline is always pushed. Overall experience a mistake.
