I would recommend Farine without a doubt.Divorce is not easy for anyone and she completely took all my facts down, met me on a weekend and took time to see my away from her family and took me step by step getting papers ready for me, checking facts that needed to be researched, even telling me she would come and represent me in my home town if need be. There are lawyers who solve cases, and there are lawyers who create more conflict - beware Fareen loves escalating matters and generating conflict.
Solely driven by greed, she protracted vexations 8 years of litigations that were no other than legal harassment based on lies. The ex / her client did not achieve what he wanted and only further deteriorated his relationship with our daughter.
Fareen kept bringing forward these "emergency" motions and archived nothing substantial, but yet another adjournment for court appearance. No negotiations, only court court court...
Just to give an example, 14 motions in 1 year while I self-represented and we ended up settling when the ex fired her.
Fareen Jamal only archived one thing - she stole away my daughter's childhood by constantly triangulating our child in the legal mess she created. Our daughter still requires therapy due to conflict and her anxieties from endless court proceedings that solely benefited a greedy lawyer.

Although I always felt so well represented, she ensured I felt in control of my own choices and path through my divorce. She never made decisions for me but always with me. I was referred to Fareen when my case became too complicated for my previous lawyer. She immediately took over with the utmost professionalism, expertise and care. The first time I met Fareen she came into work on a Saturday of a long weekend to prepare an emergency motion as she could see the urgency of my case. She took the time to understand what was most important to me and walked me through everything until I was comfortable. This was the first time since my separation that I felt safe. The interjurisdictional nature of my case made the process complicated but Fareen was always one step ahead with our strategy, aware of deadlines, and between herself, Sanaz and her AMAZING clerk Jenn they answered all my questions and kept me informed every step of the way. Waits until the last possible minute of a deadline to respond drawing out the process. Often out of the Country and non responsive. When the situation is not going her way, it almost seemed that she becomes emotional. Dictates rather than listens. I truly question her knowledge of law and do not recommend

Journeying through a common law breakdown left me wanting to crawl under a bus and not deal with the reality. On referral I met with Farene. I was transposed in consultation to confidence. I left feeling assured that the breakdown would be quick, and as painless, fair and reasonable As could be. Not only is working with Farene all that, I was overwhelmed by her respect, humanity, compassion, yet tenacity. I even received a refund for unused retainer. I’m am using that toward a Will. One of life’s undesired storms calmed for many years to come.

I felt overwhelmed and broken walking into Fareen's office. I have tears in my eyes when I am telling situation that time I see Fareen very emotional and give support elder sister I am very emotional Ready to sign an agreement that did not protect me.but instead of sign agreement she told me go home and think about your family I see her she not thinking about her fees even she didn’t charge consulting fees. I am really surprise and never seen lawyer like this if you are looking for a lawyer who will have your back and work hard you and your rights then look no further. Fareen is very knowledgeable, very thorough, quick thinking, very good with numbers and remembered the details of my case very well. She's exceptionally good in mediation/court setting. My experience of Fareen was one of absolute commitment to her client. Separation/divorce is a difficult and emotional time. I could trust Fareen to be looking out for my best interests especially during times when I couldn't see that for myself. Fareen was a fantastic lawyer in the beginning of my settlement she had told me this would be and easy settlement and it would be quick almost 2 years later she has racked up a bill of $37000 AND STLL NOT SETTLED Fareen does not like to listen to your full story and she charges for EVERYTHING beware of having her explain things twice she will CHARGE YOU and my settlement is no where close to being finish. Would be very cautious in recommending her to others.

Well my only regret is that we didn't find Fareen sooner!! She is truly a remarkable lawyer who fights to the end for her clients! While tenacious in nature, she made me feel like I was wasting her time and kept trying to rush me through my explanation. Rather than sharing her knowledge and experience with me, she kept referring me to articles posted on the internet to which she did not know the references or where to direct me. She is more interested in her time than helping those who need help.
