He openly brags he has connections with the Mi Bar to prevent any disbarment. I filed a malpractice suit against him and found he had a myriad of complaints against him they never acted on. He was finally suspended pending appeal (lol, assumedly the way they allow him to keep practicing.)

I used Mr. Meier to sue Meijer. I worked for Meijer for 22 years and was wrongfully terminated. I was awarded $15,000 but if I had a different attorney, I would have been awarded much more. No question. I did all the work. He didn’t help with anything. I was fired with three other ladies. If I had accepted the first offer of $500, all four of us were to be included but because i held out for more, the other ladies were not allowed to be included. I believe that he may have been on Meijer’s payroll himself. Check out mlive.com/meijersettlement

Is he really able to practice law? The Attorney Discipline Board suspended his license to practice law in Michigan (apparently not long enough). This person is awful, he is completely inept! His former clients have learned a hard painful lesson. Please be forewarned.

Mr. Meier appears to know the law, but his communication skills are weak at best. He did a poor job of keeping me informed and preparing me for my deposition and settlement conference. I hired him when I was in a very emotional state, and he said the right things to help me feel better and to encourage me to go forward with the case. But once into it, he practically disappeared. If I could do it again, I would NOT hire Richard Meier.

He is dishonest lawyer who will only take your money. He will not return calls or e-mail. He does not even follow thru on hearing dates or questions. Does nothing but get your case dismissed because he does not go after the evidence even when you do all the foot work for him.
