This lawyer charged me a large sum of money as a retainer but it turned out to be just for reviewing a few papers while promising to do a lot more. I asked him to return some of the money but he never did. I asked him to finish the work he had promised. He never did either. He's more of an upfront crook. I did consider placing a formal complaint against him with the law society. Only couldn't invest the time and effort into putting together my complaint as I had to hire other lawyers, work hard to fix the issues he left dragging, and carry on with the case! Stay away from Ali. The good reviews that are on this site are probably written mainly by himself.

Ali Moughel took advantage of myself and my children years ago. He was fired from a law firm that he HAD to join due to the complexity of my case. My children were young, they disclosed abuse. Ali neglected to provide accurate affidavits, one more than two occasions he didn’t even show up when multiple witnesses had been present to sign their affidavits. Ali returned the majority of what he had been paid because he was negligent, afraid of being taken to the LSA, more than 2/3 of my file, GONE. When he was terminated from the law firm - I received an e-mail and a phone call, in which it was recorded, that, Ali Moughel likely accepted money to throw my file. The positive reviews on here are the result of Ali. Ali said that he would discount his rate if I would provide a review. I did. Desperate and afraid for my children. Court dates were scheduled....in the beginning, I trusted this man. My children and I are still recovering 4 yrs later. No words describe the damage done.

I honestly did not know that someone could be so very bad at what they do. He does not care for his clients and is constantly making promises he cannot keep. I hired him, he took my retainer and after a year and a half I have nothing to show for it. He did absolutely NOTHING, he kept telling me he had made contact with my ex-husband's lawyer when in reality he had made no attempt to contact him and was in fact no even responding to emails form this attorney. Save yourself the grief and keep looking for a competent lawyer.

Don't go near Ali Moughel or Chady Moustarah unless you want to pay ridiculous money for poor advice. They are both in it for the money and bottom drawer lawyers. The stellar ratings are fabricated. No lawyer gets straight 5's and these two don't even deserve to get 1's. Never prepared, late, missing meetings, no communication, copy and paste documents with errors. They wasted a year of my time and money. Send me a message and I'll give you all the details. It is brutal at all levels.

I have been in business for forty years now and have engaged numerous lawyers over the years for many different things. Recently I was referred to the firm of Moustarah & Co. After our initial meeting with Mr.Chady Moustarah and his associate Mr. Ali Moughel we felt confident they were the firm to retain for a very complicated corporate litigation file. Mr. Ali Moughel is our lead Attorney and to date there are not enough words to praise the representation we have had from Mr. Moughel. The Insight, research, knowledge, communication and overall handling of this file has been second to none. It's rare to be able to walk out of your councils office and be able to say that they have gone above and beyond your expectaions, but with Mr. Moughel we have that feeling after every meeting. Without a doubt Mr. Moughel has proved to be the right decision as council for our company.

I don't know who wrote these reviews about this lawyer? But with our experience in the last few months, it has been a living hell. There is zero communication on his behalf. We don't even know till the last minute if he is showing up for court. When he is there he doesn't talk. He won't return phone calls as we have even had other agencies calling him on our behalf and nothing. We are fed up and have asked for our file and were told he would have it for us the first day. Second day he said he was tied up but definitely i could stop by and grab it. Again nothing. Third day...he says the file is at his home now and not in his office and he will definitely drop it off today. ( have these all in texts messages)Guess what? Nothing. Today is the 4the day and again I ask him and let him know now he is being very unprofessional. His response?..because now he knows im getting really upset. HE LOST THE FILE! So this explains the silence in court and no call backs. He has caused so much damage!!!

Ali has been a wonderful lawyer so far and my complex custody case involves tough emotional issues which involves my children (preteens) The previous lawyer I had did not fight for me or represent the real issues and Ali saw right through this. More importantly I trust him that he will inform me of all legal procedures. I know he will never let me down and always give me enough notice and confidence so I can rest my head at night. I recommend him to anyone who needs to have a lawyer who listens and who responds immediately. He works weekends and nights and really cares. And more importantly, he gets prepared for court. He lets me know what the next steps are, and doesn't give me any false hope but in the end, my children's emotional wellness and our future is what counts and so I'm looking forward to finalizing what needs to happen to fix this mess I'm in.

DO NOT TRUST THESE GOOD COMMENTS ABOUT HIM, HE IS MAKING THEM UP AND IS DONE BY HIMSELF OR HIS FAMILY!!I hired him in MAY 2015 to file my divorce and from the MAY to DEC 2015 that I fired him he has caused so much problems for me. He missed my five courts in row because he thought they were not important! until the court issued my arrest warrant due to ongoing contempt of court. he was served on my behalf and he never told me. I was suspended to file any other documents due to his malpractice and ignoring court orders! he paid the court fine without telling me! all these months he acted very unprofessional,did not inform me about anything, hided everything from me,made decision on my behalf without my information, was negligent, violated professional conduct, damaged me almost $18000,dishonest,refused to give my file back,mishandling and misrepresenting my case. Court has ordered him to come and explain and he was guilty of contempt of the court.DO NOT HIRE

Very knowlegdable lawyer who actually cares about my daughter and I as clients. My case is very complicated encompassing family and corporate law and Ali is manuvering circles around the other lawyer. Always one step ahead of the opposition who now are looking to settle as Ali is a strong assertive litigator. Ali's written documents are extremely professional and he demonstrates an impeccable work ethic often calling me on weekends in order to advance the case. He also finds details that most other lawyers do not even consider. I actually fired my previous lawyer who did nothing to advance my case with over 6 months and nothing to show. Christie Calahoo went months not returning my calls and did nothing but spend my money showing no compassion as my daughter and I struggled with extreme alienation perpetrated my ex wife. Ali was extremely sensitive to our circumstances and advanced the case very quickly.I am extremely confident with Ali in my corner should court be unavoidable.

I came to him after I gave up with my previous lawyer, who did not fulfill her promises and charge me money for doing nothing! He promised me and kept his promise. He knowledged about the family law to draft my separation agreement. He communicate with me a lot including weekends about my matter. He delivered his promise that he finishes the agreement within two weeks. He pays attention to what you say and try to understand you.

I thought he did a really solid piece of work for us. Sued for breach of contract and with our company lawyer acting for us (a senior guy and a good lawyer) we played a futile game of defence for over a year. Ali assumed conduct and not 6 months later our distributor was negotiating what to pay us for our legal fees - put them on the run in a big way and we got a great new agreement out of the whole thing. He made it look easy but I know how hard he worked. I've dealt with a few lawyers in my life- Ali is one of the more skillful guys I've seen.

I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone. Communication is terrible. He wasted another 4 months of my time. I finally phoned into the office to inquire about my case only to be told he had left the firm weeks ago and nothing was happening. He was not even professional enough to contact me to let me know. The firm told me they could move me to another lawyer....Do NOT believe all the reviews.

Ali's smart and he knows his stuff but that's not why I rate him. I rate him because after our initia;l setback I never saw anyone fight harder for me than this guy. He doesn't really act like a lawyer. But I mean that as a compliment more than anything else. Theres no pretensions about this guy One thing that bugged me a little is he likes to communicate a lot by text which takes some getting used to. I was his client for about 7 or 8 months. I recommend him.

Interesting to see Mr. Moghel listed here. He was my lawyer regarding workplace issues (demotion based on jealously and trying to set me up to fail) until April when for reasons not totally clear he left his firm. I agree with the comments on communication - that could be annoying - but I liked him and felt well represented. My company hated him and thought he was 'dangerous' which made me feel good also lol.

My situation is very complex. It was by chance that I found Ali Moughel, and I am so grateful to have found him. Ali has a very intricate knowledge of the law. He is very accurate and thorough when undertaking any matter. Ali is not one to be caught of guard. He is prompt, precise, accurate and a force to be reckoned with. My former lawyer had not been forthright about many details pertaining to my divorce or other matters that were brought to his attention. I have never needed a lawyer before and had no idea what to expect. After discussing my case with at least four lawyers I ended up hiring Mr. Moughel. Few minuets into the first meeting, my wife and I realized how sincere this gentleman was. Few days later we were both surprised how quickly he reviewed and digested all the material we provided him. Soon after we were astonished by his ability to cut through all the complexities and arrive at the root of the matter. I contacted Ali for help to get my parents out of a bad condo deal (so many of those developers are crooks). From the initial discussion, I was most impressed with Ali -- he really knew the laws and regulations intimately, he provided excellent advice, and most importantly delivered on what he promised by giving us clear and realistic expectations. If I were asked to describe Ali in one word, I would use "amazing." He is sharp, strategic and seems to have a sixth sense for knowing when to act or sit back and wait to see what the other party has up their sleeves. At first I felt frustrated that my file wasn't moving fast enough, but I placed trust in Ali's approach and I was awarded with more than I expected in my workplace dispute matter. I am fortunate to have Ali on my side, and feel (somewhat) bad for anyone who chooses to take him on. Ali is truly gifted, knows what he's doing and sincerely looks out for the best interests of his clients.

I never have required legal council aside from my house purchase (that was all arranged by my Realtor and was a horrible experience) and in my search for advice and council on a contract negotiation, I was not doing much better myself. Once I found Ali I was so relieved to have someone whom clearly cared and understood MY situation. I was not just a file and Ali really took the time to learn what the full background and intention was before formulating a direction. He was clear and direct when discussing my options, he made sound recommendations and was clear about the potential outcomes of all options. In the end I feel I got the best result and a fair Fee for his service. His strategies played out as he predicted and should I require council again, I don't need to look any further then Ali.

I was overall impressed with Ali Moughel. His quote was lower compared to others i had recieved. And he stood by his inital quote despite the additional work he put into my case which warranted a higher fee. Ali is very personable and easy to work with and explained the legal terms and meaning of them very well so i had a good understanding of what i was signing! When you contact him via phone he will talk to you directly which is tough to find in the legal world!

We retained Ali's services on two different matters in the last 12 months, both times dealing with litigation issues and the government, this you can imagine is a detail oriented task when dealing with government and many layers of persons who are trying to minimize their liability.. clever young lawyer wd be in top echelon if more consitently focused/organized. sometimes casual approach to timelines frustrating.still and all,kid figured out how to win my case in *1 night* after i dropped file off that afternoon, figuring out what 2 prev lawyers missed. definately outperformed high price lawyer dispute hearing. got great settlement. 5/5 for ingenuity

I want to thank him for helping me when I was suspended from work last fall by my scapegoat searching manager Didn't always return messages right away. I guess that would be my only quam! (maybe a bit expensive too) But when you get him on the phone or in person he was always charming and polite. Really smart guy and in a weird way kind of ruthless. I'm back to work my record is clear and best of all my mananger can't look me in the eye. He did a nice job for me.

He was recommended to me after my "partner" tried to lock me out of the company we owned together. Seemed a tad disorganized at times, which caused some anxiety, but one of the smartest guys I ever met. Watched him run circles around the other lawyer, actually making him look silly at times. Got me my business back within about 6 mts..saved my dad's investment too. Reasonable rates and seemed to genuinely care. I'd use him again.
