As for my divorce matters, I truly believe that Reesa Heft has always had my best interest at heart. ACCOMPLISHED, THOUGHTFUL + KNOWLEDGE: Family law cases, which are often complicated and involve many complex issues require highly experienced lawyers. Reesa Heft's numerous years of practicing family law, from spousal support to alternatives to court have assured me, as she has proven, that I am being represented by a seasoned and competent family lawyer. HARDWORKING + PERSEVERING: Reesa's ability to efficiently maneuver through the legal system has saved much time and money. COMMUNICATION: Great experience equals less worries, which I can assure you is very important during these difficult times. Reesa is a Bad Ass! If you are looking for a warm, fuzzy lawyer that will listen to you droll on about things that are irrelevant while billing you, then Reesa is not for you! Ressa kept me on task when we met and spoke on the phone, reminding me that it was costing me. I appreciated that. I agree that she is more expensive, but she ended up costing me much less than my first lawyer because she is efficient. In my situation, it could have been a very lengthy process and Reesa could have made a lot of money, but she didn't go that route. In court, she was prepared, articulate, and professional. My ex had an expensive "TEAM" of lawyers that told him there was no way he could lose. He spent twice as much as I did, but I WON!!!

Reesa is definitely an experienced lawyer in the area of family law. Unfortunately I dont recommend her as a lawyer to use for a number of reasons. She never provided me with a concrete plan or discuss options in dealing with my case. When pressed with questions or for clarification I would be threatened that time cost me money. In the end I had been poorly counselled which greatly favoured my spouse. Zero advocacy in Fathers rights in this process. Tenacity exist only in meaningless adversarial responses that make things costly and not productive. Her practice at the time was possibly carrying too many files. She had little file retention. Frequently calling me to remind her of information already provided and over billing because of it. Unprepared for conferences and OCL. Day before paper completion, forced to sign unread docs. Did not challenge OCL at all when it was necessary. No transparency in dialogue with opposing counsel. Not recommended

Ms. Heft is a great lawyer! I had her represent me - she is thorough and makes sure that my file is prepared. She knows her stuff and is very well respected amongst her peers and the various court staff - particularly the judges! I highly recommend her!

Ms. Heft was a stock salesperson before. People say that stock brokers are thieves. Ms. Heft brings the same values to the law practice. She charges a HEFTY premium (I guess to justify her last name HEFT) for below par quality of advocacy.

I highly recommend Reesa Heft. She is such a knowledgeable, thorough and tenacious lawyer. Her combined knowledge of family law and financial matters, as well as her focused recommendations and articulate arguments based on facts, law and common sense were assets in my case. She was open, honest and realistic about the process, the costs and what issues to bring forward - keeping my children's best interest at heart. At the end of the day when you can leave the court house avoiding a trial with child support in arrears being updated and paid, your children getting the services and support they need, and your rights as a parent and individual tax payer being upheld - it is a great day! She has brought me piece of mind and brought my family financial stability - and you cannot put a price on that.

Reesa is a crook. She is a hog. She robbed me of all my money. She had her hand in the cookie jar and took all the money that the court had frozen on my account. Do yourself a favor - never hire Reesa Heft.

Reesa is very knowledgeable. She was always available when I had questions. She had a plan which she presented to me and she followed through with it. In court, she was articulate, professional, tenacious, and well prepared. Her rates were higher than my first lawyer, but in the end it was worth it. She was so efficient that she ended up saving me money and valuable time. She was not all about billing as someone else suggested. She was fair and always presented me with clear and concise invoices. When we went to court, Reesa helped to guide me in how to proceed. During our negotiations she always reminded me of what was fair and reasonable. She did not give in to unreasonable requests from the other lawyers. My ex hired a team of people to go against me, but I hired a winner! Thank you Reesa!

Reesa is well versed in family law with a background in finance. Her tough yet professional, direct and honest approach was greatly appreciated and helped keep me focused on the main issues. She explained, guided me and sought my involvement throughout the process. In the courtroom, she formulated and expressed facts, proofs and objections with confidence and persuasion. At the end of the day, I knew that she has done everything possible to acquire justice for my children and me.

I found Ms. Heft as straight forward, she holds little back. This helped me save time and costs. I found her knowledgeable and unafraid of lawyers with more years’ experience than her. She didn't back down when confronted by some threat from the other side, in fact she held her ground and made the options clear to all. Because our courts and judges are bias, I will never marry again but for anyone needing a great lawyer, call Heft Law. You will be happy you did.
