I have not dealt to this lawyer but just the fact that she insists for a 1.0hr paid consultation when I am asking only for 0.5 free consultation gives me the creeps on what to expect in the future. After interviewing many lawyers I have learned to judge by appearance instincts and the negative reviews they get. I think she fits the greedy and uncaring category. If I get the free consultation I will speak to her otherwise she bites the dust.

This lawyer couldn't read financial statements and differentiate between depreciated assets value and the total cost of the assets over the years. She needs a lesson in finance. I can provide her letters showing her insistence on using the wrong assets value.

She tend to create issues and un necessary work to enhance her billings even though the work has no value to the client. I have the paper proof for that if you need it. For example, I agreed to split my insurance policy proceeds (in case I die) between my Ex and my children while using certain percentages that I calculated. Valda didn't like my Ex share and sent me 3 legal letters (at a cost of potentially $500 per letter) fighting me over that. Essentially Valda was fighting my kids against their mother. What a stupidity. I told my Ex that her lawyer is fighting me for the split between her and the kids, but it went on deaf ears. I ended up ignore Valda's letters and numbers and got what I wanted in the long run but after what? She essentially overcharge her client for 3 un-needed letters. If you want the proof, I have it and you be the judge.

Valda is a great lawyer. She is professional and smart. She knows the law and is a great adversary.
