I hired Rupert to review a termination case against a former employer. The employer had made a decent severance offer but I wanted someone to look it over. Rupert indicated the terms of the offer were not acceptable and indicated I should file a counter-claim which he would represent me in. Not knowing any better I paid Rupert's retainer and went ahead with the counter. The first thing that happened is the employer rescinded the offer. Once that was off the table, Rupert continued to bleed my retainer with phone calls of no substance other than a message on my answering machine but he charged for every one of them until my retainer was consumed and then I never heard from him again. I was VERY charitable with my rating, Unfortunately I had to check all boxes before I could post, however I didn't give him all 1's because his knowledge of bilking clients seems to be VERY good, I don't want to presuppose he is any good at law in any way so I left that one blank.

Rupert is well known for taking on difficult cases and clients other lawyers will shy away from. He is a great lawyer. Too bad people have blinders on and think that a lawyer should be able to easily solve or change how they have sabotaged their own case or lives. Rupert has my respect and admiration.

The absolute worst lawyer you can get. Gives advice to lie and then blames you for lying when it doesn't go right . Will not try to help in working out a mutual agreement but instead instigated the fight between parents , makes the situation worse and will drag it out until your child is an adult if you keep paying him instead of looking for a quick and stress free resolution that all involved wanted in the fist place. An extremely manipulative and toxic person, disgusting human being. He is as ugly on the inside as he is on the inside of you ever have the "pleasure" of meeting this utter bridge troll .

This lawyer is absolutely horrible. He has the poorest communication and doesn’t even voice your view on anything. Was suppose to help me get back to my mother after being apprehended by cfs abs he only made things worse and make me look guilty with no evidence or information to back himself up. Very pathetic and a waste of money and time.

My experience with this “lawyer” was terrible! He assured me that my case was very strong. I was seeking funds my ex had received from me that we’re my inheritances. I only wanted modest funds to establish education funds for “our” grandkids. Joshi sought a ridiculous sum from my ex, assuring me it was a sure bet. It wasn’t. I didn’t even want that much. Not only did we lose the case but I need to pay court costs. He didn’t do his homework. He’s incompetent. And my grandkids have no education funds! Avoid this “lawyer” like the plague!

This lawyer will tell you what you want to hear, lie on your behalf, then blame you when the lies dont pan out. Tells you to do exactly as he says and it will go your way. His advice is extreme and dragged out, but as long as your paying then he will drag it out as long as he can where things could be solved a lot faster had he done things a normal way, and just applied the law to the case in the first place.

What impressed me the most when I first met Mr. Joshi was his level of communication. After telling him about my case, he began unloading a bunch of information - caught himself - and then took a step back and explained everything in a way that I would understand. This may not sound like much, but it gave me insight into just how much he knows about the law, but that he's aware enough to ensure he's speaking in a way clients understand. His level of communication was great throughout. Happy to stick it through to the end.

I was working with a previous lawyer within the firm who moved away and my file was moved to a different lawyer within the firm, Sasha Joshi. Sasha is great. I very much enjoy working with her. Due to the nature of my case and the opposing counsel, Rupert has been working on my file as well. Rupert is also great! He is very calm and addresses matters in a very respectful yet powerful way. He gets to the point and does not waste time. Regardless of how busy he is, he makes the time to personally call you. I am thankful to have him and Sasha working on file and guiding me through this long roller coaster ride!

We were looking for a simple separation agreement (was an amicable breakup between my ex and I) and Rupert was a pleasure to work with. I was a bit overwhelmed with everything as I don't speak legal slang, but he did a great job making the process understandable. Also worked with his associate Peter who was pretty great too.

I'd like to thank Rupert again for all his help on my case. I was lucky to work with such an experienced lawyer. His assistant could have been a bit better at the start, but her communication did improve vastly as we got moving on things.

Not only was Rupert able to resolve my case in a timely manner, but he laid out a few different options from the beginning. I told him my situation and he gave me different options and rough costs of each. Once we chose the best path, he and his assistant were great at keeping me updated as he moved forward. Couldn't be happier with his work, especially so close to the holidays.

Rupert Joshi is one of the worst lawyers ever. He charges way too much money and is not very competent or smart. I talked to him on the phone three times before I met him, telling him exactly what I needed from him and he still managed to screw things up when I met with him in person. Also, he was having computer issues which made the appointment take longer and he still billed me for the time wasted because he did not know how to use the computer system. His support team is also incompetent. I had to re-write my name three times for his assistant because she could not type my last name correctly. I think all of these delays were deliberate in order to charge me more money. I would definitely not recommend this lawyer to anyone. He is corrupt and will not help you. He will only take all of your money. Please stay away from him and his law firm.

All I can say is that he overcharges, fills time to run up your costs and doesn't know as much or do as well as he initially represented. He messed up my file and I would not recommend him to anyone. Stay away from this one.

Rupurt is the best family lawyer I've ever had. And I have hired and fired many during my very long very complicated custody battle. He did give me a student on a few occasions,but,for a cheaper price, however, it was all his work behind them. He is very caring and takes his cases personally which is hard to come by. Yes he's expensive but so worth it! He even helped out my best friend who lives out of province by connecting her with an excellent lawyer.I had the pleasure of Rupurt being my attorney for 2 years,so, If you want someone who will have your back and care about your case Rupurt is your man!!! Thank you Rupurt!

Worth every penny! While he is not the cheapest solicitor in the area, Rupert is priced accordingly to his experience level, skills & expertise. Rupert served us well by giving us solid legal counsel and a reasonable idea of where our legal matters would finalize. Communication was always timely & professional. Communication with opposing counsel was unyieldingly firm of our position within the law yet kind which led to a consent order successfully filed without costly court appearances. Given our experience with Rupert, we would hold no reservation of having him represent us in the courtroom. If courtroom representation had been required Rupert would carry his sharp understanding of caselaw and his professional communication skills to argue a case without timidity or risk of being overpowered by opposing counsel. I would add the plaintiff & defendant of our matters were not at all amicable nor able to be in the presence of one another.

Overcharged and couldn't remember who I was after talking to me multiple times. Bills for services not requested. Passes off your case to student lawyer but charges you full price. Very slow. No results after paying out. Does not respond to requests. Tries to talk me into settling for things that I didn't want. Forgets what he says the next time he talks to you. Horrible attorney.

Rupe really helped me out. Her dealt with my family matter and the alleged criminal charges my wife laid against me and got them dismissed. I've never be so pleased with what a professional can do. He's expensive by well worth it!

Beware! Rupert Joshi will tell you what you want to hear, take your money then do nothing. He charges a rediculous amount of money to fix his mistakes and because he books many cases at once, he probably wont have a clue who you are.
