I’m not the kind of person who complains a lot but today is an exception. I made a horrible mistake by hiring him as my lawyer when I sold my house. His staff was unfriendly and unprofessional, and they did not have my best interests. The closing date for my house was a day late. This caused multiple problems for my family and I, as we found ourselves spending the night sleeeping on the floor. It is clear that Richard and his team are only concerned about profiting from their clients

Too old to practice law anymore. He is absolutely brutal. Never returns calls. Chased him for over 18 months to finish my family case and ended up with nothing but a huge bill. Switched lawyers finally.

Terrible lawyer. Our house didn't close on time because of their extremely unorganized office and their lack of knowledge with very basic technology. Upon closing we were advised that the home may or may not have title insurance (???!!) and that our parking spot technically was not on the property. Do not trust this firm. They don't care and have the worst customer service. Buying a home is a big deal. We should have felt safe with the purchase but one year later we have issues popping up all over the place. Building permits outstanding. Property line issues. Nightmare. We also had billing issues. Double the fee that I paid a Toronto lawyer who SKYPED my meetings and sent a person to witness the signing at my work! Do not use this lawyer.

Unfortunately this lawyer took over a year to get results for us, we had to do alot of legwork on our own, there is no communication between lawyer and client and his assistant is useless tool. I would not recommend this lawyer, there are so many others out there, and I am keeping my comments as positive as I can.

Took weeks to identify that my mothers poa was emptying her accounts and he was her lawyer. Slow or no response on the concerns raised.

Does not respond in a timely manner. Over one week and still no response to another attorney in regards to a real estate deal where the clients did not say what they said they would do to fulfill the conditions of sale.

Known and used Rick for 20 years. First rate. Lawyers offices in my experience respond at snail mail pace not tablet/smart phone pace. Its a different animal. But he has never missed a deadline. Go with confidence but a bit of patience.

After taking the case it is virtually impossible to get a hold of this lawyer even after MONTHS of leaving messages and sending emails.
