I am writing this review to thank Ms.Currie and her firm for her guidance and patience with my case. They were quick to respond and always answered my questions promptly. Her expertise help my case so much. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. She took the time to explain and give her opinion on how she thought things would work to help my case. Also, I was having terrible anxiety and stress and right from the beginning she said to get some help to deal with the stress the case was going to cause for me. I can’t imagine having gone with anyone else. Ms. Currie really handles the courtroom well and takes charge. She is a force to be reckoned with. Thank again for all your hard work and honesty!

Great criminal lawyer. Expensive but I feel I got what I paid for. Real good in court and real prepared for my trial. Never pressured me to plead guilty and admitted it would be a tough case. Ends up after trial all charges were dismissed. Her cross examination was tough and showed my x to be a liar.

Facing a serious charge I was challenged to find the best lawyer possible. After interviewing many lawyers i realized that Maureen was the best possible choice.
She is very professional with a great deal of experience as a lawyer and former Crown Attorney. She put together a very effective strategy and laid out a timeline that she improved upon by 2 months. She is aware of what is needed to build a strong case and proactive getting me to help her and my case by setting expectations with respect to counseling and volunteering.
She was extremely effective during the hearing. Maureen was able to clearly explain all the relevant details of my case and all the steps that I took which she recommended to help my case. In the end Maureen was able to get the best possible outcome for me.
Thanks to Maureen, my future in much brighter now. I highly recommend her services.

I used this firm for a case in Brantford after reading the reviews.Miss Currie was very honest and said that it would be much cheaper to get a local lawyer but i wanted someone very experienced to deal with the Crown who was very aggresive so I hired her. I had a really good experience. She was always available to answer my calls, even on the weekend and at nights. Yes it was more expensive but how do you put a $ on not being locked up for something you didn't do.We set it for a trial and she ended up getting the prosecuter to withdraw the charge, which was even better. I got a lot of my retainer money back and didn't have to go to court.Yes, more money but really worth it. She was always straight with me and didn't have trouble explaining her advise.

My results with Maureen were not good. She negotiated a good offer for me, however when my firm reneged on their offer due to an error they made, my legal costs continued to escalate with no resolution in sight. I chose to seek alternate council in order to close the deal. The new firm were able to close the offer quickly and at much lower cost.

used her 2 times as my criminal lawyer.She's cool, and real smart and reely new what was what in Court. She is not cheep and will ring you up and down if she knows you are lying but i reely like her.My dad says you get what you pay for.Not sure wtf tenacity means above this but so long as its good she probably did it.

After working over 25 years for the same company they forced me to retire and offered a 48 weeks severance pay. I felt this was not fair and was recommended to see Maureen Currie. After hearing my case she too was outraged by the severance offer. After dealing with delay after delay from the company she was able to get me an additional 6 months severance pay. I was happy with this but she was willing to fight for more. No matter what your company offers you seek CURRIE'S LAW they will get you everything and more and go beyond the call of duty until you are satisfied. R. Mohan

I don't think i could speak highly enough of Maureen Currie to thank her enough for all she did for my daughter who was facing many serious charges.
She has mental health issues and this lawyer was kind, patient and never once talked down to her or judged her. She explained the situation in terms we could all understand and our options and worked tirelessly to ensure the Court understood what was really happening to my daugher. She was able to secure a discharge when the crown was asking for considerable custody. Thank you Mrs. Currie for going above and beyond. If I ever need a lawyer again or if people out there are wondering if there really are hard working and compassionate lawyers, look no further. Again, my family owes you a huge debt of gratitude.

I called Maureen for a quick consultation on my recent layoff, and she quickly outlined my options and gave very clear suggestions about what I can do next, and what those options could lead to. I hired Maureen to be my lawyer for some charges. I have had big problems in court before and used somebody else but wanted a more experienced lawyer since the crown wanted pennitenary time in one court for some charges and in the other courthouse wanted me to pay back over $38000 to my old boss.I called Maureen Currie and she did a great for me.I think she cared about my case.She kept me posted about what was happening in all of my charges which my other lawyer never did. I ended up getting off on all the assault and weapon charges in one court and she just called to say that the crown will withdraw my fraud charges. She wasn’t the cheapest lawyer so i didn't give her a on value but I feel like i sure got my money's worth. She worked hard for me.I am not in jail and have her to thank.Maybe she can help someone else that is WRONGFULY ACCUSED. Just to say, I did not do the sexual assault but the witness was lying and she sure showed her for the liar she is in court.

Wanted to give a shout out to Maureen Currie who just got me off on weapons and drugs when the crown atturney was looking for 5 years minimum in the pen since I got a big criminal record. So stoked when she got me off and wanted to do something nice for her. Like in that pay it forward movie. She knows her stuff for sure and really had my back. My bud who had another lawyer wasn’t so lucky but the judge let me off.Anyways, I would be using her again, tho I hope I don’t have to. She always got back to me when I called, except for once and i had to wait for 2 days to get a update. She is pretty tough but real nice when you get to know her. She’s not the cheapest but is the best ive seen. Wish I would have met her 8 charges ago.

Maureen Currie was real good. Only once did I have to wait overnight for her to call me back. Normally got her right away. She wasn't cheap but she sure works hard and got me a better deal with the judge then my lawyer before.I wish the court saw what charging innocent people does to families.Lucky this lawyer understood and got my case before a judge real soon where my old lawyer just kept it goin to get more fees i think. Ayways she is smart, funny real nice and worth it although her secretary is a bit abrupt on the phone if she is not in.

My son was facing serious criminal charges. Maureen was thoroughly professional. It went to trial and she was very prepared and showed excellent examination skills. While she was even handed with police she showed judge that he was mistaken or maybe dishonest. He was found innocent and judge even commmented on her incisive cross examination. She was pricier than another lawyer I was going to hire but must say that her hours were very fair and as a family we more than got what we paid for. Must say that she seemed to work hard for us and she believed in him. He now won't have a criminal record thanks to her. She went above and beyond for us so I wanted somehow to let others know. It can be so confusing to hire a criminal lawyer

I am doing this because I was unexpectedly terminated from my position and offered what I thought was a pretty good package. I didn't really know any employment lawyers but knew I should check it out with a lawyer. First thing that impressed me was that she took my call herself and answered a number of questions. Made me think it worthwhile to come in for a paid consult. It was worth every cent. She got me over $80,000 more than they offered me originally. Good value for my money. Always answered my emails that day. I had a very positive experience with Maureen Currie and would use her again.

I have nothing but good things to say about this firm and the lawyer that I used, Maureen Currie. I went to her because I wanted a woman who I thought would better understand my issue.I had no idea how to pick a lawyer and this site helped me out. I am glad I found it. She is excellent.She appeared in Court on my behalf on several occasions and I was always impressed with her demeanor and command of the law. So was the Judge I guess. I won and wanted to do something good for her and the public who need a lawyer but haven't any idea who is good and who is not. She was more reasonable in the end than the other counsel I interviewed but several thousand dollars. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.
