SERIOUSLY FIND A DIFFERENT LAWYER. PROCRASTINATION IS HIS MIDDLE NAME. Had a settlement on January 25th and the paperwork was still not drawn up on Feb 29th. Seriously, everyone on here has gave fair warning. The ones that gave a 5 rating must have alot of money, because the everyday middle class person will get the back seat and he will get to you when he can. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE! If I could give a lower rating I would!!!!

This attorney is beyond horrible. Somebody should seriously yank this guys license. I read the reviews on this site and was extremely skeptical. I took the time to talk to Chuck about his reviews and he assured me they were misleading. I am here to tell you that all other statements are 100% true and accurate. All those comments about this guy not returning your calls or emails. Is accurate. I had extremely time sesnative and critical matters in my case that jeprodizes the future with my daughter. And this guy completely dropped the ball. He lied about all the claims he said he could make. Didnt deliver since day 1 cost me over $3500 for 1 yearing and less than a months of work. And produced absolutely zero results. Absolutely horrific attorney and I had to fire him immediately and he even took his sweet time to respond to her termination email. I can not overstate just had horrific this attorney is. Avoid him like AIDS.

Mr. Easton was hired to help in a child access case. In five and one half months did not do any of the things he said he was going to do, ignored questions via phone, email, or text. Not enough room here to explain the all the pissing around he did. My opinion is that he got off on jerking me around, like a bully in a playground. Lied to me on several occasions. Made errors on my affidavit, contradicting the facts, and placing evidence in the wrong location. Disorganised and seems to have a problem retaining information, taking notes not a strong suit. Faithfully billed me every two weeks, burned near 6000.00$ and accomplished NOTHING AT ALL in regards to access. My advise: go to law school get your own degree, represent yourself before you hire this jackass. You will most likely get faster,cheaper,better results. BE YEE WARNED. AVOID. I cannot honestly say much good about him.

I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone. He ignored my calls, would not inform me of anything that was going on, put in an affidavit that was so poorly written and not at all revised even though I sent him an email to fix it. He had my sworn affidavit on Oct.6th and the person wasn't served until Nov.25th even though he told me they would be served by Oct.10th. He kept putting things off until all the retainer was gone and we never even made it to court. I kept calling but he would not call me back so I fired him in an email and voice message and sent an email to his boss and then he called me back the next day telling me how sorry he was and smooth talked his way back in making me believe we could win this then charged me another 325.00 for that phone call. We me for 15 min. to show me the affidavit that was wrong and which he said he would fix and billed me 325.00 for an hour. Please do not hire this man, he is a con man. He'll take your money but nothing will get done.

Wish I had read this prior to hiring this poor excuse of a lawyer. Talks a big game but is as a **** cat that rubs all over the opposing council giving them everything they want. Proven child and spousal abuse never raised. Paperwork never in order. Judge shaking head at him nonstop. Won't listen to you. Told him in person I was dropping him. He pleaded with me not to. Then sent me a letter saying he was dropping me. He's a coward. Sucks you dry. I understand representation is not cheep, but no representation should be free. Not with this scum het charges through the roof and fails to deliver on his big game talk. I've now taken him before the board after my new lawyer said I should after he received my file with a senior partner. Seriously think long and hard prior to hiring this snake with no bite.

THE worst lawyer in Calgary and I know I am not alone, word travels fast! I was misrepresented, he is skittish and weak in front of the judge. I did more editing of his letters and affidavits than his secretary! He was a complete waste of time and energy! Took him to the Law Society. BEWARE!!!

Have been dragged into Court 5 times now, and have lost each time, what should have been simple wins. However Mr. Easton just sat there and let the opposing Council talk, then barely said a word, if at all. The odd time he spoke he said something that was unclear, and got me a lecture from the Judge. Afterwards I told Mr.Easton that what he said was stupid. He said, Oh I didn't keen you. Well make that clear then, isn't it obvious it was not clear when the Judge is all over me, and you don't say a thing. Mr.Easton's excuse is always, oh I know that Judge and we can't win. Well how bout you at least try, I don't care what the Judge decides, as long as my voice is heard. Bad communicator. hard to get hold of. Won't fight. Always playing catch up. Files things for Court late, sends opposition things late, if at all. Takes weeks to find our Court decisions. He also had a meeting with my Ex without my knowledge, at same time I called and he had a full conversation with me in front of Ex.

He has experience working for clients with bullies for ex's. I retained him after a friend in a similar/worse situation had a very positive outcome with his representation. I had expected more of a bulldog to fight for me & my child. He was good, not the bulldog i'd wanted but still okay. Costs were kind of high for the value.

I can't understand the bad reviews here. Mr. Easton was great on my file. He was very detailed and prepared in the Courtroom. I retained him when I heard the Judge tell another person to listen to their lawyer because Mr. Easton was a good lawyer.

File was passed on to him. Good start, but when we got to court realized he did not read the file,a set back. Back on track,all seemed well...then he disappeared. No notification, no closing letter, nothing.Finally got hold of Firm who let me know he moved on.Seemed very competant,but left me hanging!

Referred to him through a friend. I should have known better when my friend hadn't retained him. Absolutely awful, worst lawyer I have ever dealt with. He charged me $2,100 to write a 3 page Affidavit that I essentially wrote myself. Then went to Court and was bullied badly by opposing counsel. Sounding like a mouse talking to the judge. Changed counsel after that. Avoid at all costs.

I am debating if I should write to the Law Society of Alberta in regards to the quality of work brought forth by Mr. Easton. His knowledge of the law and proper research and due diligence is highly questionable. Communication? Very infrequent. Tenacity? My child has more tenacity than Mr. Easton. Work Quality? Need I say more. Value? A complete waste of time & money. Had Mr. Easton more empathy and finesse with dealing with people's emotions perhaps the value criteria would had been evaluated one notch higher. I do not recommend this lawyer.
