I witnessed first hand Mr. Bednar's blatant disregard for his client's and their situations. His misuse of client funds, lies to clients and the court and his neglect of cases. When I first met him, I recommended an individual to him on a simple paternity case. Mr. Bednar took over $15,000.00 from his client's parents before he was a "no show" at the Pre-Trial hearing and paternity trial. The opposing counsel moved that the custodial parent lose those custodial rights. Because Mr. Bednar chose not to show up and be the attorney and do the job he was paid to do, the parent lost custodial rights. In a phone conversation with his then secretary, she stated it was "unfortunate" that happened. That was 8 years ago!!!! Thank you OK Supreme Court. Justice has finally been served.

Bednar was barred from practicing law for a year but returned to the legal profession. However, he has recently been disbarred. This, however, did not stop Alex, and he was caught representing a client in a criminal case after his disbarment. I will follow further developments with great interest.

Mr. Bednar went over and above what was asked of him in a case for my daughter. He was very forth coming with any and all information and maintained contact with us on every avenue. He had to travel over 180 miles, one way, on two separate occasions to meet with the judge in our county. He kept us aware of what was going on and the individuals we were dealing with. He investigated several times with individuals taking statements and then negotiated with the opposing attorney for a very satisfactory result for my daughter and her horrible situation. Even the outcome came to create a satisfactory situation of one of the individuals that was going to be gravely affected, other than my daughter. He is to be highly commended.

2 Rule 3.4(a) "A lawyer shall not: unlawfully obstruct another party's access to evidence or unlawfully alter, destroy or conceal a document or other material having potential evidentiary value. A lawyer shall not counsel or assist another person to do any such act;"and he's doing it again.

Mr. Bednar took care of my legal issues quickly and at a very fair price. I will use him again.

My ex-spouse hired Mr. Bednar during our initial filing for divorce and custody. I had a terrible lawyer at the time, no knowledge of what to expect, and through a series of lies, continuations, and unsupported arguments, my ex actually won custody against myself. I ended up without a lawyer in the first trial. Well, since then, at the advice of Mr. Bednar, my ex began denying visitation and continued for over a year to act against the original visitation ruling - all at Mr. Bednar's suggestion. Needless to say, I hired a new, much better, lawyer, filed a motion to modify custody, and won! The entire ordeal was humorous if you ignore the affect on the children. It would have been difficult to overturn the original decree if Mr. Bednar had not advised my ex to ignore the judge's order and act on his own. He failed to submit any evidence for trial, constantly ignored the judge's repeated admonitions in court, and flaunted his incompetence in the worst argument imaginable.
