Just a loud voice. Doesnt do much, works on intimidation and talking. Doesnt work in the real world. Save your money and go with a different lawyer. Theres a reason he has had to move shop so many times

This guy has issues with women..it wouldn't surprise me if all these other negative ratings are from women... I know I made the right decision by not retaining him for a family matter issue. Even the consultation fee was a total waste of money.

His knowledge of dealings with the MCFD is incredible. He educates you on every move and provides you with insight of the Ministry's views on your case. He helped me out so much I would have never gotten what I was looking for from the MCFD. They wrote me off years ago as a fall down mom, but thanks to Shawn he showcased how neglect the ministry had been towards me and the progress I had made. It was amazing. Let's put it this way on his cross examination he is on his best game showing how overworked ministry workers are to really work with you and just write you off. He may not return your phone calls but come to game day he pulls through for you. I hate the other reviews that say he is incompetent because there is a method to his madness. He may not be neat but he is organized. There is a difference. Emailing him is the best. Shawn is very busy because he is one of the best aboriginal family lawyers there is. Find a different lawyer. I filed early last year He and his legal secretaries never return my phone calls. When I call, I get the same old run around, he is in court, he is in a seminar, he is on the other line. The office had received information, and it took me calling, two weeks after they received it, to find out they had received it and would proceed with the information. I was told they were really busy and they were getting around to calling me to tell me they received the information. From the day I filed, not a single thing has happened to move my case toward a divorce. Shawn told me because there was adultery involved, with proof, we didn't have to wait the year of being separated. Its now been almost a year. What I hear when I call is the firm is too busy to address my divorce. The work quality is bad. Filing the papers and nothing since. My recommendation is find a different lawyer.

Shawn was very helpful and knowledgeable. I was alway aware of what was going on. His staff is very friendly as well and are more than willing to help out as much as they can. I would highly recommend him.

He was very helpful and I really appreciate the extra time he took and did not charge me for. He spent alot of extra time with my mother as she did not speak English very well.

Most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with, did nothing for me, switched Lawyers, charged me for stuff he never even did, found this out after new Lawyer reviewed my bill and checked in system, would never recommend this Lawyer,should have checked him out further before retaining, my mistake

Very unprofessional. Did not review documents properly, seperation and settlement took 6 weeks longer than it should because of his incompetence. Would never recommend him to anyone.

I had gone through a few Lawyers before I found Shawn. I found him to be very professional and extremely helpful. I ultimately got what I wanted thanks to Shawn. The other 2 Lawyers I had seen before said I wouldnt be able to get what I was seeking little did they know.

I had problems with this lawyer too.He came to 4 ways meeting without my file,only with five papers I wrote myself.My file he left in previous working place.I lost in devorce about $50000,because he didn't open my file and appraisal report.I willn't recomended him anyone.He asked from me huge money though I didn't sign with him any contract.I asked him to give me his statement how he used his time for my case and my money.I waited 1 month.And I got it only when I told him I will complain in law society.And I complained because I don't satisfied from his services.15.10.2010

this so and so black mailed me after I told him many times I would not go to trial and he prepared for it (or so he claims) and charged me for it. Then when I let him go before the trial date came up he would not give me my file until I signed an order to pay. This was on a friday and my court date was on monday. I had only the weekend to go through my files which he kept claiming he wasn't finished with until that friday and then wouldn't give them to me until I signed the order to pay. Creep.
