He is condescending, rude, and arrogant. His price tag is high, and because of that, he should actually prepare for court. He doesn’t. He made a horrible personal matter worse because of his terrible attitude and lack of preparation. He’s the name brand choice, but you're better off choosing someone off brand who won’t yell at you as a client.

I went to see the j. Mark Shelton. I had a question to ask him, after I asked the question,meh ran from around his to and said," I keep my files in ,y truck". So naturally I'm thinking, WTF is his probllem. I waited for him to return, I stood in his office while he went to his truck to see his files.around his office, and j mark, you left 2 small bags of meth, one crack on the right side of your desk. Before you run out of your office again and leave someone alone wondering what your problem is, you should always HIDE YOUR DOPE.

Mark is an habitual liar. He is the sole reason the morning after & birth control pills are sold. He wouldn't know the truth if it hit him in the face. I know he paid someone to take the bar exam for him, he's to stupid to pass the exam himself. Never use this pathetic snake in the grass.

Mark is the best divorce and custody lawyer in north Mississippi. I switched to him after using a non-aggressive attorney. He is a true Bulldog. YOU Hire him, pay him, and let him do his job. The people that have problems with him are the ones that try to tell him what to do. He is very busy because he is that good. I would recommend him to anyone.

Mark Shelton "represented" me during a child custody case. He was rude, had a condescending attitude, conceited and nearly impossible to talk to directly about my case. He seemed to despise any questions you may ask him about your case. In court, he was unprepared and basically gave in to my ex's attorney. He acted as if he did not care about my case at all and it showed in court. It was a huge mistake to hire him but it's too late now. Do not use Mark Shelton if you have a custody dispute!

Great attorneys. Mark won't sugarcoat anything for you though. He tells it like it is, but I like that. He is to the point. Very, very smart. His staff stays busy and works hard for their clients. Mark is hard to get ahold of, but his staff does their best. Jana is also a great lawyer. Very sweet and knowledgeable. Easier to get ahold of.

I didn't do my research before hiring him for a contempt case regarding child support, etc. He is arrogant, abusive, and irresponsible. He was angered that I asked him a valid question (he thought I was challenging his opinion) & walked out of the courthouse during a break at one hearing. At that point, his behavior became unconscionable. DO NOT HIRE!

He is a great lawyer. After five years suffering he solved my case in less than a year. He knows what he is doing. He defend your rights but If you want more than your rights he wouldn't help. I strongly recommend him.

Our case has been over for years and we never received any copies of the papers to see or sign. The other side can tell anything they want and we have no grounds to stand on. When we called to ask about the terms of the case he got irate. We were told he was the best but he did more for our opposition then us. When we did what he told us we were wrong when we did opposite we were wrong but when our opposition was in violation he repeatedly told us not to worry about it and give in to what they want. He talks down to his clients and will read magazines instead of conferring with his clients. When ever a question was asked of him he would act insulted that his time was wasted. If you need a lawyer for family law choose anybody else. Even the worst lawyer you can find will be better than this arrogant man.

Very poor communicator, difficult to speak to him directly, appears offended for client to ask questions. Condescending, rude. Not worth the money he costs. Would be looking for another lawyer if we weren't already in so deep.

Unapproachable, rude, condescending. Thinks nothing of telling clients they are ignorant,etc. No professionalism. Clients who have questions or need directions offend him. He threatens to fireclients. Poor communicator- when you are able to reach him. Too far invested to change now- otherwise he would be history.

I hired Mark Shelton, because the lawyer I was using wasnt working out. I was actually referred to him by a person who had lost a case against him. I hired him for a divorce and he was kind and he worked very quickly and aggressively. He was very straight forward and to the point, but he knew the laws well. I had no issues being able to communicate with him. I have recommended him to at least 3 people since. I would recommend him to anyone.

I just finished a case with Mark and we got exactly and more of what we were wanting. He handled himself in court very well. If you sit back and let him do his job, he will take very good care of you. I knew after meeeting with him that he was very cut and dry. He knows his stuff when it comes to law.

After dealing with a different attorney for a year, I switched attorneys and chose Mark due to hearing nothing but high praise for his work. I had heard he was a "bulldog" when it comes to winning a divorce case, and I would agree. He is very knowledgeable in law, and knows how to put anybody in their place. I really didn't have to do anything but sit back and let Mark handle everything! I would highly recommend Mark for anyone seeking a divorce....unless you want to waste a lot of time and money!

Mark worked two cases for me. Could rarely talk to him directly and if I did manage to get him instead of his receptionist he was rude. on one occasion he sent his partner for a meeting who knew nothing about my case and put me at a complete disadvantage with opposing counsel. do not give this jack a** a dime! he is only out for the buck and dosent care about the client at all.

If a need a good lawyer dont bother with this jerk at all.He is everything you dont an attorney to be.He will not return phone calls only take your money.Take it from someone who has had experience using him.I have talked to several clients who feel the same way as i do.My advise is to look around for another lawer.O he appears to work better for the ather party.

Worst communication I've ever had with ANY professional. He represented us on two cases spanning 3+ years. First case seemed to go okay, but I'm afraid that's only because we were new to being in court and litigation. Mark only did the minimal amount required and never gave us notice ahead of time on important issues. Additionally, the "opposing" lawyer wasn't very knowledgeable or driven. For the second case, Mark basically just showed up and winged it with information from the previous case. This time the "opposing" lawyer was very knowledgeable and represented his constituent well. The other lawyer picked apart Mark on many issues including a terribly written court order which was quite embarrassing. He's a smooth talker but don't expect any help from this guy. You're basically on your own. We kept Mark for the second case because of his familiarity from the first. In hindsight that was a very poor decision on our part. You will get much better representation for your money elsewher
