Julius Engel really helped us out. We filled for bankruptcy a couple years ago but failed to pay the court filing fee and our bankruptcy was cancelled. We didn't realize the implications of a canceled bankruptcy until my wages were garnished for a $20, 000 debt. We didn't know what to do. It took just one phone call to Julius Engel (our original bankruptcy attorney). He was able to explain the best options to stop the garnishment as quickly as possible. He refiled the bankruptcy, opened up the case and successfully helped us get the bankruptcy discharged. Shortly after the discharge we received a refund for all the money that was garnished and felt the peace of mind and got the second chance we needed to get our finances on track. We felt like we were special and that Julius Engel really cared.

Mr. Julius Engel is a complete blessing to my husband and I. He gave us hope and a peace of mind when several other attorney's gave us absolutely nothing. My husband was being charged with a serious crime he did not commit that would devastate our lives forever and Mr. Engel was kind and compassionate about the whole situation. He made my husband and I feel like this case would be over with in no time and that we could be confident in him to be aggressive and have this criminal case dismissed. That is EXACTLY what he did! Forty-five minutes after my husbands court hearing started we got a call from Mr. Engel stating that the case was dismissed! I am so shocked and amazed because the other attorney's we spoke with stated a dismissal wasn't even possible. I am very glad I found Engel. He's been a valuable asset and I'm sure without him we would of found ourselves in some real trouble. No one wants a lawyer, but when you need one, you need one that knows the system and can fight for you. He's gone to bat for us 4 times on this case and so far he's batting 1.000 getting us the results we were hoping for. Would use him again ( I hope I don't have to ) if I needed to!

I was totally taken to the cleaners by another attorney and called Julius and asked if he could help me. He knew the guy got money from him and did my bankruptcy at no cost from me because he got the attorney that ripped me off to pay. Also, the IRS came and took my tax returns because they said I owed them on taxes for a credit business loan that I filed bankruptcy on and he called the government and got me my money back in a week...WOW!!! I did not even think I was getting the money back. He really went above and beyond and so did his wife. Thank you so much Julius!!!

This man took advantage of me in my vulnerability! Have two charges and he promised me a positive outcome he promised to help me.Paid 2,500. For absolutely NOTHING! I had him for Three months and he did nothing no phone calls never returned my calls. SHowed up late and never showed up at all. After speaking with other lawyers was only then I found out how bad he really was. Now he refuses to refund any of my money. Wished id done my research on this jack a**. His license should be revoked!! All he did was extend my court dates. Never talked with anyone! Never his intention to help me. Was fast to take my money and have his wife turn lights off in his office when I payed. Rushing me out. Hes a fool. Needs his license taken. Hes broke with no real work. That's why hes doing bankruptcy. DO NOT SEEK REPRESENTATION FROM THIS MAN!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! See u in court for my money!!!!

I am in the process of figuring out a way to bring criminal charges against this person. He got me to sign my name on his client agreement, to the tune of $1,750.00, but did nothing for the money. I have reported him to the California State Bar Association, but so far have not been able to prove my claim. I am just getting started with my attempts to bring him to justice. Stay tuned to what I accomplish!!

I currently have a small claims law suit pending against this character if you can all him that. He did ABSOLUTELY nothing for me after I paid him $1500.00 to file a shady Chapter 13 similiar to those that others have discribed. May I suggest that people stop complaining about him and start holding him accountable. I have a very well documented case (I only communicated via email with him after the initial visit) to present to both the courts as well as the District Attorney's Office. Hopefully they will investigate him for public corruption, fraud or something. And to think, he just ran for a Superior Judge in Yuba County in the June 2012 elections. Thank God the character on got 598 votes. But 597 more than he deserved - he can vote for himself! McGeorge should sure be proud of him as a graduate.

If I could rate his law firm a "0" I would. Not only did he promise to help save our home, he told us we could file a lawsuit against Wells Fargo for unfair practice. Not only have we lost our home, we have not filed a lawsuit againts Well Fargo. Both employees we have dealt with at his firm has been fired. Not one thing we were told has been true. He showed up to court late and made us look bad, and the judge was angered by our incomplete file. He is an embarassment and a liar! Why would someone in their right mind file a Chapter 13 on two vehicles that were current in payments? He told us by filing, we could protect our home...that is what we thought he was doing for us! We paid attorney fees for nothing, as we have lost our home! Worst attorney I have ever dealt with!!! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM HIM!!

I hired this lawyer to represent my husband, he said that he would file motions for him and he never did! he talked my husband into taking a deal well actually I told my husband to take the deal. He then took our money and he didnt do anything! He went to visit my husband only minutes before he was suppose to show up in court and then he would talk bad to my husband and me! He is very disrespectful, he lied to me and took our money! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE NOT EVEN FOR BANKRUPTCY!!!

Mr. Engel not only got all of my charges DISMISSED but he was willing to work within our finances...which were slim (like all of us) at the time. I am not quite sure who the previous clients were speaking of, but it surely wasn't this lawyer. He is an ex-DA with a heart of gold that has a passion for justice even when it comes to the little man! THANK YOU Mr. Engel, it is because of you that our family has remained intact. A debt that no amount of money could ever repay!

We used Mr. Engel for a bankruptcy case. While he seemed as if he knew what he was doing (and our bankruptcy was eventually finalized) the ONE thing my wife and I were concerned about came back to bite us. Mr. Engel dismissed our concerns not once, but twice. He then showed little to no interest in assisting us in correcting the problem and in fact practically didn't look up from some unrelated paperwork the last I spoke to him. Would NEVER use again for anything and would not recommend to anyone.

Not only does he NEVER return client calls, he LIES, has poor work ethic, and fails to fulfill ANY promises about your case. As a matter of fact, he didn't even know about our case the day of the hearing and was asking us questions. He finally had to excuse himself and call the now fired Para-legal who was just as bad! Paper work was constantly missing, not filed or only 25% complete. The work they did finish took 4 months and the paperwork still wasn't done after we waited for a call to sign for 8 hours and then went to the office to sit in the lobby for 2 hours to find the paperwork was just being started??? HIS license should be revoked.
