Another lawyer recommended this guy with the caveat that he is only good for a boilerplate divorce with few complications. How correct that advice was. My divorce was filed by my wife and should have been a simple one, except on Steve's watch, it became complicated because of my wife's aggressive lawyer. He took a retainer, sat on it, and could not give me an accounting of it for 6 months. When I started asking questions about why things were not being done, he let me know I was a “high maintenance” client and that this was a case he did not want (with that, I should have fired him, but did not). He refused to do what I requested, for no good legal or practical reason. He just does the bare minimum. He has trouble communicating with clients, and when he gets mad, he goes personal. In a deposition we did, his preparation was less than thorough. If you want aggressive, pro-active representation and are up against one of Wichita Falls' “tier 1” divorce attorneys, hire someone else!
