He has a quiet style about him, which I wasn't sure would work for or against me. He was assigned as my public defender. I felt that he has really had my back. He read over the petition formulated a plan, he didnt share with me in advance: but when he stood before the judge he used creative wording, that made his point clear and sysinct. He is good at what he does. I think if you are honest with him and give him all the information you can then he will sincerely fight hard for you. He seems to genuinely care. He took time to talk to me after mediation and tell me some resources that have proved extremely useful. I wish I could afford to pay him, because to me he is so worth it. Maybe though, someday I can pay forward the great job he has done in my case. I appreciate him beyond my ability to express. I've had a difficult situation to deal with,. I have greatly appreciated the respect that he treated both me and my case with. Just be completely forth right and he will take care of you. |

He was assigned as a public defender for my daughter in a CPS case. POOR communication - made no effort to establish a relationship with those he is defending. Client felt that he was representing the other side. Arrived late to court. did not inform clients of what was taking place in court. did not discuss strategy with the client. He even "upped" the CPS decision date with out informing clients. More interest in a quick solution than in the RIGHT solution. He would not return my phone calls until I left a message implying I was a potential paying client - rather than connected with a current case where he was the public defender. He offered to take on me as a paying client then acted contrary to my needs. If you are assigned him as a public defender beg for a different lawyer or put yourself in debt for life to pay someone else to represent you. |
