Our company hired Mr. Bangert for a legal matter we made a mistake on. It seemed the law was really against us and we owed the other side a lot of money because of our mistake(s. I questioned his knowledge of the law but it did not matter because he knew the judge real well and got the case dismissed on some kind of a legal pleading using facts he put together for us that were not exactly the truth. But his friend, the judge, nailed the other side. The people who lost money next appealed and again he the knew one of the appeals judges - same result. After a while I felt sorry for the other side; I mean we screwed up not them. When I see those guys at the country club I cann't look them in the face now. I rated his knowledge low because I got the opinion he did not know or was not interested in the law, only he really knew the judge(s). He billed our company a lot too, but a lot less than we owed and should have paid our ex-friends. Well, I quess that's just business (and law too). |
