I called Mr. Battaglia with the intention of possibly hiring him to represent me. I had been charged with a DUI for blowing barely over the limit at a sobriety checkpoint. I asked Mr Battaglia a few questions regarding how to get driving privledges, etc. and he asked me point blank whether I had decided I need a lawyer or not because he didn't feel like "educating" me. I then asked him whether he felt, given the fact that I submitted to a breathalizer and blew over the legal limit, I would even have a chance. Mr. Battaglia then accused me of assuming "I could do his job better than him." When I tried to amend this misunderstanding, Mr. Battaglia continually interrupted me and refused to let me explain that he obviously misunderstood me.
In short, DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER. In my opinion, a 5 minute conversation was proof enough. What kind of "good lawyer" would treat a potential client like this within 5 minutes of speaking with them?
