On 07/10/2011, I posted an exaggerated and negative comment on Lawyerzratingz.com regarding Reza Athari, his office, and his staff. I admit I acted out of anger and overstated my feelings. Mr. Athari sued me for my actions, and I paid him damages to rectify (including damages for loss of revenue for the diminishment of Mr. Athari in the community). I regret my hurtful actions and I apologize for them. Mr. Athari and his staff were professional and courteous in the handling of my immigration issue, and provided me with great service at a reasonable price. They responded promptly and efficiently to my requests. Delays outside of their control lead to the delays with my file, which they should not be punished for. |

My husband and I hired Mr. Athari to represent us in his immigration case. He said it would all be very simple and that he was not worried that my husband would be back in no time. Needless to say I went to his office to ask him about the case and he had no idea what was going on because his "associates" are working the case. He wasn't even aware that we had already recieved a response saying that they (consulate) required additional information! And when I tried to ask him what was next or what I needed to get to get this going he just said someone would be in contact with me when I was already in his office with a scheduled appointment. |

I called this lawyer for an immigration issue. The staff who answered the phone said that they give "free" consultation over the phone. When they called me, Reza Athari barely gave me any advise and was told that he cannot give me legal advice without paying a $250 consultation fee. I called another lawyer and he would have only charged me $60. To take on my case he quoted me $1500 but I am already being represented by another lawyer who only charged me $1000. Very rude and abrupt on the phone, there was no real interest from him to hear anything about your case. I think that is what most people say in online reviews anyway, so beware!!! |

I was a client for over a year or so and that year was the toughest ever. I needed legal representation and Reza Athari & Associates took my case for TWICE AS MUCH as other attorneys asked for. Since his ads are everywhere (bus stops, billboards all over in Vegas) I figured he worth it. Here is the truth ladies and gentlemen: This guy and his associates charge twice as much not because of the quality work they do but because that's the only way that they can keep on paying for these ads and commercials. Reza Athari and associates CARE LESS about your case, in fact once they got you sign a representation form they figure out every way to charge you extra for EVERYTHING. I tried to follow up with my case 3 times and did not get my phone call returned, NOT EVEN ONCE! THESE PEOPLE WILL RIP YOU OFF AND WILL NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CASE IN GENERAL! |

I retained Mr. Athari for an Immigration case. It was a simple case, which should have taken less than a year to finalize. Mr. Athari’s staff was very incompetent and careless, so instead of wasting time and money I decided to go ahead and retain another attorney to take care of my case. His staff is very unprofessional as well as Mr. Athari. All he cares about is stealing people's money, and not so much about getting the work done. I decided to go to Mr. John D. Lee which is actually across the parking lot, in the same center as the Immigration Office. Mr John Lee was professional, pleasant and efficient. He got my green card in less then 2 months, when Mr Athari's staff took forever ( THAT IS MORE THAN 1 YEAR) to even get me an interview, and I DID ALL OF THE WORK. I would definitely NOT recommend this attorney. BIG WASTE OF TIME |

Went to see the lawyer about my husband's case, he took the case, charged $3,000, then two weeks later my husband was deported, athari never met him,nor did any work, when I complained he refunded $1,500, and charged me for work done. What work done!!!! beware |

Another attorney just took my money for 4 years. I was referred to Mr. Athari from California and two years after I went to him I finally got my green card and I am so grateful. Me and my family are all able to stay together in the U.S. All the trips from California were worth it because I hope to become a citizen in five years.THANK YOU SO MUCH. You will never know how grateful I am. Don't trust the other people see him for yourself. |

DO NOT GO THIS SO CALLED LAWYER!!! I CALLED HIS OFFICE AND WAS TOLD THAT HE DOES "FREE 1ST TIME CONSULTATIONS" ON A WALK IN BASIS, SO I WENT THERE AND AFTER I FILLED OUT A ORANGE SHEET OF PAPER AND WAITED FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES. WHEN I SAW HIM I ASKED HIM WAS ABOUT HIS TIME LIMIT FOR HIS CONSULTATIONS AND HIS RESPONSE WAS THIS "IT DEPENDS.. IT CAN TAKE ANYWHERE FROM 5,10 OR 15 MINUTES" I THEN ASKED HIM WHY SO SHORT OF A TIME, HE SAID BECAUSE HE DOESNT GIVE "LEGAL ADVICE" I WAS SO DUMBFOUNDED THAT I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY NEXT. I THEN ASKED HIM WHAT HIS DEFINITION OF CONSULTATION MEANS. HIS RESPONSE WAS "I LISTEN TO WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY AND ALL I DO IS TELL YOU WHAT MY FEES ARE". HE THEN SHOWED ME WHERE ON THE CLIENT INFO SHEET HE ADVISES THAT HE DOESN'T GIVE CONSULTATIONS. I THEN LEFT AND TRIED TO TALK TO 1 OF THE LADIES AT THE FRONT. I COULDNT EVEN GET A WORD OUT BEFORE HE CAME TO THE FRONT AND ACCUSED ME OF TRYING TO START AN ARGUEMENT, THEN TOLD ME TO "HAVE A NICE DAY! VERY RUDE |

Met for free intro appt. & was encouraged to sign contract, but terminated same day, within an hour of free consult. His office already banked a $500 deposit check within an hour of my appt. I stopped payment on the check, as contract was Terminated. Reza then said he was charging $200.00 fee to terminate eventhough the 1st 15 mins were advertised as free. Sent me to collections, but waited 4 years to do it. Now wants interest plus fees. The collection agency Reza uses reported to 3 credit bureaus BEFORE giving me proof of any collection. My advice is to avoid using Reza Athari for any legal purpose. |
