Called for a consultation for a child support and contempt case. Asking various private questions not related to the case itself. Very rude asked why I had not tried harder to find my children. I told her that required money I did not have. She said haven't you ever heard of free legal services. Well didn't qualify for those and she continued to be rude and judgmental. Tried to say well I wouldn't be able to take your case because there are things we should address first. I cut her off before she could finish her sentence and told I am very sorry but I wouldn't want you as my lawyer. Do not call or go to this lady, I do not believe you would be treated with any sort of respect. |

Specifically entered into a contract with an 87 year old woman to handle a case. Done so in writing. Laterv said that she only agreed to find information. Kept $500 retainer and billed an additional $500 for services. Received no information. Clients son called to get specifics and was told F##*K You and hung up. Charged client for the phone call. Client continued to try to get in touch with Ms. Crowley over a three month period to get an update.. No return calls. Ms. Crowley indicated that her associate specialized in medical malpractice. Later told this would have to consult another attorney. They were only gathering information.Indicated that they would be getting depositions etc. We gathered most ourselves and were charged $1000. Additionally, Ms. Crowley prepared clients will. She now indicated that she cannot located the signed copy.Gave her an unsigned copy. Unprofessional by any standards. Very underhanded and deceitful. |
