Mike seems to know his stuff. But don't use him if you are in a hurry. "Time is of the essence" has no meaning. The hours charged for the work product are greater than they should be. But you will hear promises that he will get the motion done by the end of next week. And the following week. Etc. Even if you tell him often that each day that elapses will mean less funds that can be recovered, it doesn't make him keep his promises. After 4 months to produce a 10 page Motion we let our co-counsel take over as lead, which effectively meant sole counsel. And sure enough, 3 weeks later, we got whacked. Time had run out, the guy we were suing was declaring bankruptcy. If I could. I'd sue Mike, but for the law protects lawyers who don't do any work for you, even if you pay them an arm and a leg.
