Absolutely great lawyer!! I found myself in a bad situation and needed an experienced attorney who truly understood the criminal law statues in Arizona...after my detailed research, I found Atty Scott Maasen...He came highly recommended and I couldn't be happier with my choice. My case was resolved with very favorable results....As a business owner myself, I do look at reviews and understand that you can't judge a book by its cover, but by their track record....I'm too a victim of a couple poor reviews posted by my competitors but my track record speaks volumes on how I handle my business, just like Scott...He is reliable, available, returns calls timely and aggressively works towards resolving your case with minimal impact to you....as a previous client I can tell you, Scott was the right choice and would recommend him without hesitation!

Oh man do I wish I had read these before I hired Scott as a lawyer. He did everything everyone else is warning about on here. I paid him a LARGE amount for my DUI case and he didn't get one single thing reduced. After he was paid he never picked up the phone or returned my calls. I had to hire another lawyer to reconcile the damage he had done...the new lawyer asked me to call Scott bc we needed info. I called him 3 times no answer, then my new lawyer called from his phone and he picked up on the first ring. He just took my $$$ and had no intent on helping me...Made one of the worst times of my life that much harder...gut wrenching...buyer beware!!

Scott Mason took $40,000 from me,showed up one hour late for first court appearance,wore a golf shirt to second court apperance,threw me under the bus at a "free talk" and submitted false billing for $20,000 when I fired him. Buyer beware of this guy who should be disbarred for what he did to me!! I wrote to Arizona Board of Professional Responsibility and he lied to them as well..Hard to beat the lawyer good old boy system.

Appears to be caring, will work hard for you and has your best interest at heart. Kept pushing me off on other lawyers in his office, said he would work hard on the case, offered to be there when needed.... I found out through other lawyers that he ripped me off and didn't do anything to help. Even before we learned of his dishonesty, he promised to help when needed and closed the door on me. Wouldn't answer calls, wouldn't respond to messages, but was great for asking for more money. He was full of lies

Choosing Scott Maasen to represent our son for his DUI was one of the best decisions we could have made. He gave us advice that was invaluable to the successful outcome. During the long process he made us feel very comfortable that we were getting the best legal advice in Arizona.

I am more than pleased about how Scott Maasen has handled my DUI case. He helped me out so much with any questions I had as well as getting the best possible out come. Plus gave me great advice on how to make sure that it would be taken care of quickly and with least amount of time spent.

My son spent a very long year of stress and hopelessness as we waited for a resolution to a very unfortunate situation. There were days when we felt that maybe no one was listening to the parties involved and that my son was being thrown in with a stereotypical group which he did not belong in. We finally have a resolution and although it was not what we hoped for (due to the prosecutor involved and not Scott) it was better than others could have offered him. I am thankful that this is over, thankful for Scott's wonderful office staff, and Scott for making this happen. I don't think any legal case is going to be exactly what you hope for and stress is going to be a part of it no matter what, but Scott (specifically) brought us hope.

Biggest mistake ever! Had no problem getting a free consultation within an hour of requesting help. Was even given his cell number to call anytime. Once they received my retainer fee all forms of communication ceased. Lied about charging a flat fee, never offered a written contract. Called to request my retainer fee back after 5 days. Was ignored for two weeks until finally I threatened to go to the bar. They ended up charging me $450 an hour for basically nothing. I'm now reporting him to the state bar under rule 1.4 & 1.5 of professional conduct of a lawyer. I encourage anyone else with a similar experience to do the same!!!

My experience with Scott Maasen and his firm has been nothing short of amazing. Scott has continuously gone out of his way to help me and those important to me. Most recently, a family friend’s son was being charged with Drag racing, failure to use reasonable and prudent speed and unsafe lane change. I recommended Scott immediately and without hesitation, knowing that he was the right choice. My friend’s son is not a bad kid, he just got caught up in a situation that resulted in some bad decisions -- He was beyond scared at the possible conviction and subsequent consequences that a criminal record could have on his bright future. Scott was unbelievably supportive and because of the hard work and dedication of Scott and his firm, ultimately the case was dismissed and my friend’s son’s future saved. We are EXTREMELY THANKFUL!!

I hired Scott to take my DUI case and he could not have been more helpful. None of the other lawyers I interviewed gave me their cell phone number and told me to call with questions day or night. He handled my case with professionalism and was always there to explain things to me. It’s a long process and I don’t think most people understand that…I certainly did not. If I ever had a question about the case I would just call and either Scott or his paralegal always took my call and I was very happy in the end.

If you want an attorney whose in Bankruptcy and will avoid your calls like the plage, this is your guy. To bad you have to give 1 star. Check the US Bankruptcy court and you will find him. A V O I D this firm, get your money back, Ryan Borgese has almost no criminal defense experience hes just cheap and desperate for a job. Todd is ok when hes not on another 3 month vacation. I would go with the public defender way before these guys.

Contrary to the reviews I had a completely positive experience with Scott. I was charged with a DUI and Scott had the prosecutor plea me down to a reckless driving charge. On the day of my pretrial Scott was able to have them drop the DUI and reckless driving to a few traffic violations. Mr. Mason saved me time, money and a criminal record. His fees were actually less than the 2 previous attorneys I had interviewed. I would recommend him to friends and family.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE listen to my advise. We hired Scott Maasen based on his website. Turns out he NEVER represented Charles Barkley. He took our money and ran. He's a master of manipulation. He's a brilliant and cleaver liar. He does NOTHING from the moment that he takes your money. You must trust me on this. We were fooled! We fell into his trap. There is nothing I can do now other than to warn you NOT to do business with Scott Maasen. Even his business(MLF) went into foreclosure and he lost our loved one's files! Do your research. He has a team of people to organize his "positive" comments on the top of a Google search. Stroll down to page 6-10 to view the negative comments. I wish I would have done this. Call the Arizona State Bar Association. Don't fall prey to his selling "pitch". Thank you

Maasen Law Firm is the biggest joke as far as AZ attorneys go....Hired him to represent me in a DUI case...He charged me a huge amount and I thought I could not take a chance on my case. After paying the amount and a week before my court date, Scott told me they had done everything he could on my case and to take the state's deal (which I could have gotten on my own behalf). Thankfully I called another AZ attorney and they helped to get my case dismessed. If I had done what Scott Maasen advised me to do, I would have a DUI on my record, not to mention I would have had to spend time in jail and the huge fines. Just ask around in the legal community. His reputation is so bad....the firm just pays big bucks to advertise. This firm is absolutely worthless. Way better attorneys in AZ to represent you. Make sure you stay away from this firm unless you want to get ripped off! Just ask around and his reputation will speak volumes on its own!!!!
