Excellent Attorney...This attorney is one of the best in CT. Some people give him a bad rating because they dont like to hear the outcome of their case. I was very happy with his professionalism and dedication to my case. I had gone to another attorney prior and had to fire him because he did nothing. Went to Steve Barber and my case was done within a few weeks. Thank you Steve. |

Divorce is bad enough to begin with, Steve was able to work with me during the whole process, and kept in almost constant contact. He was actually able to prevent my husband from raking me over the coals, and saved me quite a bundle in the long run.
If you are shopping around for a good divorce attorney, look no further.
Made a painful process, much less than expected. |

I was represented by Attorney Barber in a post-judgment divorce matter and he also advised me on an employment issue. Additionally, he represented my parents in estate planning.
He was diligent, attentive and professional in all of our dealings. Above all else, he was competent and knowledgeable about matters of law and we were very pleased with our results. Fees and billing were never an issue with him and his integrity was beyond question. It was obvious to us that he was about OUR interests and not about the money. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of quality legal services. |

Mr. Barber has represented me several times over the past few years. He has handled my cases extremely well. He works very effectively with the local Law Enforcement and was able to negotiate and prevent potential court actions. He has also handled some wrongfully termination issue very well. I highly recommend him, he is easy to talk to and is never condescending, I never felt like I was on the clock, I called him many times for some quick advise and he never charged me which is a breath of fresh air. |

I had the good fortune of using Mr.Barber on more than one occasion. I will not go into detail about what he did for us, but all I can say is: THANK GOD I FOUND HIM! |

Mr. Barber promised me a quick and inexpensive divorce. Once he obtained his retainer fee, he was not to be heard from. He failed to return phone calls, and show up for appointments. After several failed attempts, I fired Mr. Barber and obtained a new attorney. Stephen Barber has failed to reimburse me the retainer and fails to provide me with a detailed billing statement. In addition, he filed dates with the court without my knowledge postponing my divorce for SIX MONTHS!!! Still waiting for him to return my phone calls. Awful attorney. Would never recommend. |
