They made lots of promises about how they would have my sentence reduced by a plea deal. In the end, they missed the filing date and I was given the maximum sentence possible for my DUI accident.

I found myself in a situation where I was arrested at a traffic stop for blowing a .12. First offense, no prior offenses, no moving violations in over 5 years, and passed the "attitude test." Reputable firms who cost far, far less told me up front that I'd probably have to plea down to an infraction of code (b) and that I'd get my license suspended. The Kavinoky Firm told me though that they had an action plan to defeat the DMV and would work to reduce the charge (I honestly would've been happy with a wet reckless.) After months of continuances issued by my assigned attorney, the case got to a point where we lost the DMV hearing and ultimately pleased to the (b) charge. Further, the paralegals who represent the firm are so horribly inept at their jobs that you can expect any correspondence to be riddled with inaccuracies, misspellings, and even the case information of other clients. Just a horrible experience and I regret my choice of law firm to represent me.

I payed the kavinoky law firm over 100k. They did didly squat for me. I ended up with a sentence of 10 years 8 months for a hit and run crime. Thank goodness for a thing they call appeal. Hired a different lawyer to reduce it to 6 years with 80%. I'm gonna call him Out on his bs. Kavinoky is more of a Hollywood actor on Nancy grace and extra. He pays them for the slot and "expert" analysis. After I hired him he pushed me to his subordinates. First was Craig Sturm. Then the ultimate idiot Mark Cantrell. I pretty much got the max. If it weren't for my appeals lawyer Mark S. Devore out of Irvine Ca I would still be in the slammers. He recognized that they couldn't give me a gbi enhancement on a hit and run! If you want the transcripts I will waste my time and money to send it to you. Why? Not b up I care about you :) because I this firm did me wrong! Any money I can stop them from frauding is a win!

Darren Kavinoky's law firm is outstanding. They provide expert legal services with an extremely personal touch. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my closest friends should they ever need a defense attorney.

I am totally surprised at the negative comments on here. I hired Darren's firm a couple months ago to handle my DUI, hit and run case. I needed the best because my charges had issues that needed expertise and experience. From the initial meeting I knew I was going to be well represented. I first met with a very smart lawyer who answered all my questions, then had the priveledge of meeting Darren personally. He assured me they would give my case full attention. Not only did things move quickly, I had excellent service, phone calls returned same day and e mails returned in the middle of the night. I could not of had better service. The most important comment I will make is that they did their homework, followed the law and was able to have the hit and run thrown out and DUI reduced to a wet reckless. Also, we won the DMV case because of some key facts addressed by my very bright lawyer in the case. I kept my driving priveledges through the entire process and will not have any suspensio

I would like for others to know from personal experience do not hire Darren Kavinoky he is a crook and a dishonest attorney and what is more shocking he does not care about his reputation only$$ he does it with no remorse he made us believe we are hiring him took our money and in return sends other attorneys who know nothing you will never see him in person and his excuse will be "in court" will never show up in court nor return your phone calls or emails beware of this attorney and his law firms, who will take advantage of his clients take your money and never touch your case instead mislead you and sends in other attorney..what a disgraced ! People not all attorneys are like this one it is sad attorneys like Mr. kavinoky make those who are good attorneys who are honest and perform their duties you hire them to do regardless of the outcome of your case but do the job you hire them to do..dont let Kavinoky and his law firm discourage you beware of Kavinoky and his law firm

They are in my opinion the worst law firm ever. They are nothing more than a bunch of salesmen trying to take advantage of people in a bad situation in my opinion. They never returned calls or emails once I paid them and I had to do a lot of the work myself. I get a better responce from the DMV than their guys who are said to have tons of experience and know all the loop holes. Its really sad that someone who has no experience can do better than these way over price people. Because of this experience I have truely lost faith in any show that uses them as a reference because in my opinion they are crooks!! Run away from them as fast as you can. Your local $1000 lawyer will do much better than these $7500 sales people!

do not ever think of hiring anyone from this firm..starting with DARREN KAVINOKY who I hired and was made to believe he be handling the case..that was not who I got he sent someone else who did not know anything and was not experience in my criminal case and serious charges.. and the firm and Darren assure he be the attorney on the case ..it was all lies and fraud sent a attorney from one of the over few firms they advertise..who was a simple attorney that know nothing about the law ,I paid over 30,000.00 extra fees for there traveling.expensive..paid good money because i believed you paid what you get...and in this case I paid and I did all the work..and I am not a attorney!! do not hired this firm or anyone..they have many websites and say they handle all types of criminal cases...beware if you or anyone have a love one and need a criminal attorney for a cases that you can face over 1 year in jail do not hired this unethical attorney get a public defender ..am sure they do a better

I paid 7300.00 for nothing, plead guilty was all i got. Amy was piss poor, late and not pleasureable to deal with. lots of big talk, you will get Cynthia who is the firms accquasition person, then Amy will come in do nothing. i had a great case. got same result as if i just pleaded guilty to begin with. all my evidence and circumstances were ignored. Don't waste your money.

The Kavinoky Law Firm is a bunch of crooks. First off - there's no point in hiring them because you won't get a reduced sentence. Of course, they will talk big until they get your money. Then, they will make you plead guilty to a DUI and take your money. They are unresponsive. You will get a stupid local lawyer with little experience. They won't admit it if they make a mistake, and instead will blame you. HORRIBLE LAW FIRM. DO NOT HIRE THEM. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

These guys know their stuff. Upon the very first free consultation, they already had a strategy. I was represented by a dude that served as a public defender for like a decade. Though they could've made more money off me if we went to trial, they recommended that I didn't because it wouldn't have made a difference. They even took care of my DMV stuff. They're a little bit more than those bargain-basement guys, but I wasn't gonna take any chances with my career. Overall, I was happy, and they explained to me my options. Nothing was a surprise. I basically got off with a slap on the wrist. I totally would recommend them! Peace!

I was really happy with the way this firm handled my DUI. I had a BAC of .26 (I know, I don't know what I was thinking) and they got me a deal where I pled guilty to reckless driving. I paid a fine and got probation. It could have been a lot worse. The best thing was that they won my DMV hearing and I got to keep my license. well worth the money i paid.

I went for the most expensive legal representation possible, and got the worst. My initial attorney quite, or got fired, halfway through the process. The guy that took over did basically nothing until we were sitting in front of the judge in the courtroom, then tried to figure out what to do with the case. It was very difficult to get hold of my attorney. I basically did all of the research and collection of evidence for the case. The only thing the firm did was show up in court for me to plea.
I truly regret going with this law firm, and I'm sure I would have been far better off using a $2,000 attorny instead of paying $9,000 to this firm.

I hired this firm to handle my dui case which should have been easy as I was not even driving the car nor was I even in it or have the keys.7000 dollars later I had the maximum sentence and no drivers license.I was told to lie to dmv and tell them I was sick because their dmv specialist forgot my hearing.I never had a counseltation tell I threatened to sue.They did nothing and all I know is I am amongst everything else I am going to do 4 days in jail.All they want is your money and they promise you the world.But when your money runs out so do they.

These people prey on people in trouble with DUI, Make false promises about erasing dui, in the beginning you pay them $10,000 to help you--you think they are attorneys, they cant lie--but they did--false hope--false promises, but now one year later --they have your money and there is nothing you can do. Dont let these this happen to you.

Mr. Kavinoky's firm was not only professional and courteous but they took the time to listen to my story and explain what my options were. They're not the cheapest firm, but I suppose you get what you pay for. They really went above and beyond the call of duty for me. I'd recommend them to anyone that needs a good lawyer.
