I saw Jasper Berg for a consultation about an appeal for unemployment insurance. Although I was unable to afford to retain him to represent me for the actual hearing, I deeply appreciated his advice and found it extremely beneficial in preparing for the hearing. My situation was complicated and his advice was straight forward regarding my chances. He is very knowledgeable, listens carefully, shares information in a detailed manner yet concise. He is careful to use your time wisely to get the most information to you possible. I appreciated his ability to be compassionate but keeping the conversation moving again using the time wisely. Unfortunately, I lost my appeal. But I feel that I was as prepared as possible thanks to Mr. Berg and I would highly recommend him to anyone with anyone with any unemployment issues. He says he feels this is his calling and I agree!

I was facing a big overpayment and there was no way I could have paid that. Although you might think you can't afford a lawyer when you're unemployed, try paying thousands of dollars to the state! For a reasonable fee, Jasper Berg represented me in a phone hearing and I can assure you I would not have prevailed without him. He knew exactly what issue to focus on and because of that I was successful. In addition, he took a tremendous amount of time to prepare me for this hearing. I've worked for lawyers in the past and have not heard of a lawyer preparing a client so thoroughly for a 2 hour phone hearing. He spent far more time than another lawyer would have, and I'm glad he did. In addition, Mr. Berg was always willing to take my call and reassure me - when a former employer disputes your claim, and the state wants a large sum of money, you can feel pretty alone. I felt like a champion with Mr. Berg.

The state had issues with my unemployment benefits application and scheduled me for a hearing. I hired Jasper to help with the hearing.
For a very reasonable cost, he spent a great deal of quality time working with me, gathering evidence, and preparing for the hearing.
Shortly after the hearing, my unemployment benefits were re-instated.
I'm 100% certain that would not have happened without Jasper's counsel.

Jasper returned my call right away and gave me excellent advices as well as compassionate support when I needed it the most. He would not allow me to compensate him for the time on the phone he gave me. I found both the free articles on his website on point and informative. The $8 I paid for the information on his paid article section was worth ten times what I paid.
He mentioned to me that he thinks this type of work is his calling and I couldn’t agree more. I highly recommend him.

My employement situation was a bit new to Mr. Berg, but he did a great job educating himself and working with me to understand all the details involved. My case has taken more than a year but Jasper has been engaged and supportive throughout. He has kept me updated regularly and encouraged me throughout a very tough time. Right from the beginning he set a strategy and clearly communicated what that was and how it would be implemented. He allowed me to challenge this strategy and challenged me back when it was called for. He is extremely professional and I would recommend him to anyone who needs a great attorney.

I left Jasper a message to call me and he called me RIGHT back! Jasper was so informative and had the patience to hear my detailed situation, gave me the best advice and told me things I didnt know I had "employee" rights to. He listened so good and answered me in "small words" (dumb it down for me) that I could understand. I am so thankful for finding him and when my case goes to court, I cant wait to use him because he sure knows his law and has huge confidence in himself. I liked him very much.

Although I did not use Jasper for any legal matters of my own (because he clearly stated my case is beyond the scope of his practice), he responded to my e-mail the very same day, as a matter-of-fact, 2 hours after I had sent it. He was very patient in listening to my concern, seemed knowledgeable, very friendly and offered me referrals to whom may be experts to my case. It's too bad that he couldn't handle my case, because he clearly seems to be a competent and easy to approach with any concerns.

Having searched for an attorney at length, before deciding to use Jasper, I was not impressed with the assistance or response time of other attorneys. Upon contacting and working with Jasper, my issue was efficiently addressed, with a keen attention to detail, needed next steps, and informative follow-ups. Before working together, Jasper identified how the procedure could best operate. He also relayed that should he be unable to provide certain services, he would be able to refer me to another attorney. Jasper was my only attorney needed and his efforts were greatly appreciated.
