We have had a 5 year relationship with David Slepkow as our family lawyer. He helped us with a divorce and a custody battle. The mediation he did during the divorce made a amiable agreement possible. The custody issue was more involved and we felt confident the whole time that we would end up with the result we were hoping for. Most of the time the Father gets the short end of the stick. But with David we won full custody and placement. Something that rarely happens. We were also very impressed with the respect he receives from peers at the court and how well all the other attorneys and judges know him. When we go to court with him, we feel he is at ease and at home in the Rhode Island family court. He is very efficient and always returns calls and never seemed to rush through things that were important to us. When we get the bill, it seems reasonable and very accurate. We would highly recommend anyone in Rhode Island to use David Slepkow as an attorney. |

After interviewing other attorneys, I hired David and am very glad that I did choose him! David was easy to work with; he is a knowledgeable and professional lawyer. He communicates well- he listened to me, kept me informed and apprised of the risks and possible rewards of my decisions. He used every available methold to get back to me in a timely efficent manner which I appreciated. He explained the law to me as a layperson and never hesitated to refocus me when necessary. Dave came highly recommended by one of my friends, and I quickly came to understand why. Dave was very responsive, straightforward and rational during a very difficult time. Having never gone through a divorce before, Dave was patient in explaining the entire process, thorough in evaluating several different scenarios, and realistic about the outcome. During the entire proceeding, Dave’s advice and guidance were invaluable. He was able to move the process along quickly once my ex-husband and I came to a resolution and understanding. I always felt well represented and very secure having Dave as my attorney.

Things started well, but didn't contact me to discuss case till day before court. No follow through after. Had to prod to get action. Paid 650.00 up front for 2 or 3 hours work max. After, you're on your own. Buyer beware. Do your homework well, but don't shop here! |

I got everything I wanted out of my divorce in a state that favors women.I kept my house and pension and most importantly I have primary placement of my daughter. I would recommend David Slepkow to anyone going through a divorce. |

David recently represented me in an uphill struggle to vacate a plea, then fight it. He was able to vacate the plea (which itself was an enormous accomplishment ) and then have the case dismissed. David is very knowledgeable, and clearly has done significant research in his field. What was also especially impressive to me was his excellent client service. He never went more than 24 hours to respond to messages, works on weekends, uses emails, and he clearly communicates procedures and potential scenarios. He was always on time, and sincerely wanted to provide tough defense. Hiring David is money well spent, and I wouldn't think twice about it. |

David went above and beyond for my case. I had a difficult legal issue involving my children that spanned two jurisdictions with little case law. I had been frustrated for many years with travel out of state when my children lived here in Rhode Island with me. David spent a lot of time with me discussing the case, making sure I understood the legal issues and what we needed to do to get a result that benefited my children. He did an excellent job of responding to complex legal issues in open court. He was extremely responsive to me and always returned calls and emails very promptly. I also felt as though he cared about doing what was best for my children. I highly recommend him. |

David is a great lawyer. He takes time to meet with clients to discuss their cases. He listens to the client and does an excellent job representing him/her. I found David Slepkow by lawyer feedback sites like this one and additionally by all of the his published works on the internet (just Google "David Slepkow" and you won't believe the results!). In my mind, David is exactly what all attorneys should be like. He is very professional, friendly, highly organized, very dedicated to his clients, thinks very logically and works tirelessly for your cause! Ask him any question and he will give you straight forward answers in plain English, not legalese; and any good attorney worth while would do that for his clients!
I was served extremely well by him! Additionally, David Slepkow is more than just a “family matters” attorney; he is capable of handling many different legal matters and I intend to call on his services in the future without any reservation should the need arise. david is a very good attorney. sadly people dont realize that he has other cases other than just their own and need to realize that calling someone back just takes time. he called me at 9 at night at one point to make sure we had gone over everything. i appreciate his honesty and work ethic and will refer him to anyone who may need help in the future. |

Dave's representation is superb. He's been working diligently to make things right with my case. My wife was ordered back from Ca with my kids because of Dave’s relentless pursuit of justice. I have joint custody and have a great visitation schedule all because of Dave. He is highly organized, affordable, dedicated to his clients, and he never gives up. Friends and colleagues who have gone through a divorce have commented to me that they wished they had Dave Slepkow on their side after hearing my story. He truly takes forever to get back. I would have to leave him 2-3 messeges before I would get a call back. Very bad communications skills. Most of the time I had to do my own research and get back to him with it all the while patting himself on the back |

He settled my case for much more then I expected. He was a very good negotiator. He always returned my phone calls on the same day. I was very happy with him. The only complaint I have was one time in Court he had another case on same day as my case. |

THIS GUY is why people HATE lawyers! He takes forEVER to ever get anything done, really doesn't seem to have a firm grasp on law and consistently goes against client wishes. When even the court clerks make fun of you, THAT"S BAD! |
