Divorce is extremely stressful. Caring and empathetic are not the usual words used to describe lawyers, but Debbie is. Wonderful at strategy,Debbie knows the law and what part of it to argue in court. She cuts to the heart of the matter and doesn't waste your time on unimportant issues just to drag out your case. She is able to disseminate what part of your case is really an emotional issue and should not be argued in court.Unlike other lawyers,she is very available, does not take your case and disappear,nor will she hand you off to an underling.She will not promise you the world either, only what she honestly believes is feasible and just, and in the best interest of any children involved.Having acted as a law guardian herself,she is well aware of those parameters. Debbie is well received and liked by all in the court system, even her adversaries.She accomplishes this by being articulate, unfailingly positive, compassionate and considerate to everyone involved. I highly recommend her! |

I hired Ms. Fiss for my divorce several years ago. Upon first meeting her she put me at ease during that difficult time. She handled my case in a professional manner as well as efficiently. I have since referred several people to her. She has shown compassion and knowledge of her profession. Once again I was in need of a family lawyer and did not hesitate in calling her. I know my case is in the most competent of hands. I also add that her rates are both fair and reasonable. Ms. Fiss is a true professional. |

Debbie is a great lawyer. I hired her to help me with a custody battle, not for a divorce. She is smart and knows the law. She is also funny and down-to-earth. While my case is not yet finished, I have no doubt that with Debbie as my lawyer everything will turn out just right. |

In my case Ms. Fiss has been handling a difficult divorce case with multiple changes to opposing council. She presents well in court. I feel she negotiates well and is tough and holds her ground when she has to. It is clear she cares about the children who are the innocent victims in a divorce and although she is my lawyer (I'm the dad in this case), I feel she is always considering their interests as well as mine. I would recommend her to anyone who is the same situation that I am in. |

I retained Ms. Fiss for my divorce on the recommendation of a friend who utilized her services to handle her divorce. I was able to get through the very emotional process with Debbie who has nurturing instincts and the client's and children's best interests at heart. She is patient, kind and caring and her fees are extremely reasonable. In fact, Debbie was able to negotiate with my ex-husband's attorney so well, we were able to avoid any court appearances. What could have been an intolerable situation was handled with grace, empathy and a professional mannerism not found in many people. Ms. Fiss handled my divorce. I had been trying to get divorced for over eight years. It took her a one-hour conversation with my ex-husband, and we came to a full and amicable agreement. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Her dedicated and knowledgable staff is an added bonus to her excellent services! |

didn't know this was here but now that I found it I would like to thank Deborah Fiss and her staff for all they did during my divorce. She is very good at what she does and well respected in the court system. She not only did what she promised to do but also took great interest and time with me and my two sons helping us with all the emotions that go with a divorce. She is well worth her fee and DOES NOT over charge, but rather tries to get things taken care of quickly. Without her knowledge, spunk, caring and trustworthiness, my divorce would have been a nightmare. Instead it was a nightmare for the other side. Everything she did was always in my best interest and when things seemed to be falling apart she was always a calming force to show me how everything was really working for the good even if I didn't see it at that moment. Thanks to Deborah, I have my kid with me. I interviewed close to 10 attorneys before getting to her. She is smart and has a positive attitude, always open to conciliate. Even before the case started, she did the right steps to be ahead in the process. Deborah is very knowledgeable with the court procedures and explains to you what is coming next. She also explains to you how the time of her services has been spent. Of course, as any other person passing through a divorce, I was afraid of my lawyer extending the case to overcharge, but she got a fast resolution of the case by her conciliatory philosophy. In order to be fair with this review, I will suggest to her to be more open to silly questions coming from his clients, remember that we have no clue, a lot of anxiety and, I would say, tremors. I strongly recommend Deborah as attorney. Best regards from Nicholas, my kid. |

Ms. Fiss is not compassionate, the kind of person who only cares about money.
she charged me a huge amount of money, and really did not fought for my case.
Deborah charges money before she does anything. All she needs is money.
I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone. |

This lawyer is not as good as described below. She did not do her job well throughout my divorce process. Instead, she charged me a huge amount of money, promised so many things and at the end, all her promises meant nothing. My ex's attorney was very strong. He really fought for his client. Deborah charges money before she does anything. All she needs is money. Her office staff is not as good as described also. One of the secretaries was rude with me on the phone. I would not recomment this lawyer to anybody. |

been going through anightmare divorce for over 3 years and used 2 different lawyers,neither one doing an effective job. I was getting killed in court. Then I heard about Ms.Deborah Fiss. I retained Ms.Fiss at a very reasonable rate and she totally kicked ass. Within 2 weeks of her working my case I was seeing my children again,getting respect and positive results in family court. I have known Debbie Fiss for the last three years and she has saved me from being incarcerated two and one-half years ago. Currently, she is on track to help me to get my life in order regarding my child support obligations. without Ms. Fiss, I don't think we would have purchased a property ever. Everybody knows how stressful this whole process is and Deborah and her staff were there with us every step of the way, when we actually got to the closing everything went very smoothly because Ms. Fiss took care of every little detail. After that she helped us with other legal matters with the same ease and efficiency. you cannot put a price tag on such a service, she is definitely worth every penny spent. |

Deborah is gift from God! I honestly don't think that I could have gone through my very difficult divorce without her and her wonderful staff!!! Debbie made me feel comfortable during the whole legal process. She was sympathetic, knowledgable and aggressive. She handled our day in court beautifully.
