He only charges .25 cents per call! I received an invoice for 38 calls at .25! That is an amazing lawyer. He also states weekends are Fridays so you are charged 300$ per hour. He is so nice that he meets with you on Saturdays disclosed charge of 300$ for the 2 hours that is really 45 minutes! If you Google Mark Lakin. First article is very interesting about his past discipline action! |

This man told me to see him, I had to pay up front: $2500.00 and he was paid and when I went to see him a few days later, he had already cashed the check and told me if I did not pay another $17,500.00 for another trial, he would not help me. Did not need another trial, I just need to get driver lic back, he told me and a friend that was with me a Medical Doctor to leave or he would call the police when I asked for a refund and, he said I am now called a felon and he does not give a refund and that was his fee for the 10 minutes that we were there and he did nothing for me........Do not trust this man, he will lie to you and take your money and do nothing for YOU.James Edward Staley, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan call or e-mail me any time. staley-james@sbcglobal.net |

This guy took my money and quit on me! He said he would be at the jail to bail me out and he never showed up. I hired him to defend me in an assault case. He lied on me to the judge telling her, that I was not going to even show up. He made racial comments about my attire. I filed a complaint with the bar. Next time I saw or heard anything of him, he had a billboard across from the court advertising his services, what a joke! |

I hired Marc in september of 2006 to represent a friend post conviction for attempted murder. First marc charged me 500 for a consultation which later was disclosed he usually does for free. I hired him on a flat rate for 10k which included handling my friends right of appeal. Marc failed to file the paperwork resulting in my friend losing his right to argue his case before a panel of appeal judges. His retainer agreement clearly spelled out appeal as part of his duties. Fortunate a new decision by the mich supreme court april 2011 may give my friend a second chance because of another lawyer who also failed to do there job. He is a good talker but he fails way short on his job to represent his clients. |

This is the best lawyer period! My world fell apart months ago and I contacted his office for my pending situation. He answered the fone personally! I beat the case and got back to my life. Hire this guy! |

I hired Marc back in 2007 for a DUI in Novi Michigan, when we went in to plead we waited for a little while when he stepped out to check his voice mail. When he came back he said a urgent case came up and that he would have to leave. He left me in the hands of a court appointed attorney and took off. I faced the judge without my lawyer that day. My lawyer that I had paid in full. When we went back to court the next time he sent his associate. I had paid extra for his representation. I write this review because now he has commercials locally and I want there to be some public record of his service somewhere so people can make an informed decision. |
