Michael Tristano took a post divorce matter to court for me about 10 years ago. I was very happy with immediately receiving all documents (in the mail at that time) being billed for 10 minutes at a time for lawyer conference time (rather than some lawyers who charge by 15 minutes) The outcome was good, but the process was long and the attorney's fees considerable. That is common, Family law is messy. A lawyer is not a miracale worker. These attorneys know the law, and are efficient and trustworthy (and ok,they are overworked) Now I am going through a divorce from my second husband and of course, I called Tristano and Tristano. The staff are all well-informed and helpful. With any lawyer, time is money, your money. I do have to call and check in to be sure I know what is going on, but I always get a call back. I would rather get the information I need and move forward, rather than chat with a lawyer which is expensive. |

Signed on to "get em by the balls" and walked out of court worse off than I started. Signed on to work with Michael Tristano but got his "second hand man". His "secretary" needs to remember she is NOT an attorney, although she couldnt have did worse on my behalf. I was even embarrassed at the thought of my ex coming to his delapelated office! I listened to them speak of all their other cases that were "life and death" which is good and grand, but if you dont have the time for my "petty family law" case DONT TAKE ON ANOTHER CLIENT!!! These lawyers are so unprofessional they would call my house and instead of "Hello, is so and so there" they announce themselves like they are royalty stating only their names on pickup, my children hung up on them bc they thought he was a machine! THEN he blamed me for my outcome!!! I can go on & on, but I have to get back to the pile of bills they have no prob sending, wish I could earn thousands for NOTHING!! BETTER OFF WITH A PUBLIC DEFENDER!!! |

Terrible!!!This attorney knew NOTHING about what was going on in my case nor did he bother to learn. I paid him a 1500.00 retainer and he promised he would "grab him by the balls". He never did anything and we never went to court. After 4 months his "secretary" called me and verbally accosted me. They then sent me another bill and a nasty letter. Please avoid this attorney he doesn't deliver the service he charges for. He is extremely unprofessional. A shyster!!!! |

A person straight from the street would be much better lawyer than him and his wife….This guy is a real shyster. He repeatedly makes serious errors in court documents, he seems to have a habit of losing files, and he can't seem to his keep promises he makes to pro se litigants or to the court. His knowledge is poor because he apparently does not do his homework to learn about the family law. His work quality is so bad that I'd never consider hiring him--even to shine my shoes. His "services" are, in my opinion, devoid of value. Avoid this loser!!!! |

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Do not hire this "attorney" no matter what you do! I hired him to handle my divorce and all he ever did was take my retainers. He dragged my case on for years. Took 3 years to get a divorce and all he did was charge for unnecessary meetings. He lies and really only seems to have one concern MONEY, not the best interest of the parties involved. His staff are just as bad as he is. Very rude, I would not recommend them to anyone. He has always several court appearances in different courts at the same time. Don'tplan on getting too much help from him , just a bill. Not to be trusted!!!
When I finally fired him and hired another attorney, I got my divorce in 2 months, and was only charged for 6 hrs of work. Hire a professional lawyer, not this one. |

Expect to pay a lot for very little counsel. Found him manipulative and dishonest and yearns for fees. Awful, practice is a joke. Not to be trusted!!!! |

My expirence with this lawyer was terriable! Ive never been treated with such disrespect, plus Ive never been over charged SO much |
