The Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO)that Mr. Beutler prepared for my daughter worked well. I was skeptical when I found Mr. Beutler on the Internet beacuse his fee was about one-third of the fee quoted by another attorney. The only difference was that Mr. Beutler guaranteed that his QDRO would work while the other attorney made no guarantee. The QDRO sailed through all parties at the price that was quoted. I desperately needed a DRO for the New York State Retirement System but I could not find someone to help me who charged a reasonable fee. Attorney Beutler answered his own phone and emails and was there when I needed him. He knew what Fidelity and Vanguard wanted and drafted the QDROs quickly and skillfully. I called Judge Beutler to inquire about QDROs for my 3 Kaiser Permanente plans. He knew the QDRO contact by name and said that he prepared QDROs for Kaiser on a regular basis. I called the administrator and she confirmed that Judge Beutler did excellent work and was easy to work with. I was hesitant to hire an attorney that I found on the Internet, but I was pleased with how smoothly the process went. Judge Beutler was a very calming influence and put my mind at ease. |

My ex-wife's attorney was really ticked that I hired attorney Beutler to prepare my QDRO for $340 instead of paying her a $950 retainer just to get started. Her secretary said that she was going to "show Mr. Beutler" by posting a mean comment on this website, which she obviously did. How petty is that? I hired attorney Beutler because he has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and he is a former judge with over 24 years experience. His QDRO was flawless and was immediately approved by the company and the judge. Maybe if this other attorney didn't charge so much she would have more business. Shame on her! |

My ex-husband had a QDRO prepared by Stan Beutler and the quality was horrendous. The division of property was not done correctly, not to mention the gross typing, grammatical, and spelling errors throughout every document he prepared. I would be embarrassed to have those documents leave my office and have my name associated with it. Perhaps his prices are so low because the quality is terrible. He is living proof that you do get what you pay for. These documents are of the utmost importance and it is worth it to have them done correctly. |

I never give perfect ratings to anyone, but this attorney gets as high a rating as I will give. He prepared my military QDRO (QCO)for a very low fee. Another guy wanted $1500 as a retainer with more fees down the road. Mr. Beutler knows his business and was able to do everything correctly the first time, with no changes and most importantly, no extra fees. He also walked me through the court filing process, which was a real plus. This old soldier recommends him highly. |

Mr. Beutler redrafted my QDRO at no extra charge even though the error was my fault because I gave him incorrect plan information. He said it was no big deal and that it only took him a few minutes. Attorney Stan has prepared countless QDROs for my law firm over the years. Stan always guarantees his work and NEVER charges extra fees. He does not have to because his many years of experience allow him to work so accurately and efficiently. I know that other QDRO practitioners in my area who charge 2, 3 and even 4 times more than Stan are extremely intimidated by Stan's experience and low fees. I question whether the critical comments on this website are from clients or instead from intimidated competitors. Also, I would think that a real person with a legitimate complaint against Stan or any other attorney would file a complaint with the Bar Association or the Better Business Bureau where they can seek resolution to a dispute and are required to make full disclosure to affirm its accuracy. This website has its positive aspects, but I recommend that you check with the BBB or the State Bar for an accurate disclosure of Stan's standing as an attorney. |

Mr. Beutler, whom I paid upfront, was supposed to write 2 QDROs for me, and garanteed the work. He did one correctly. When the 2nd QDRO was not accepted by the other company, he asked for more money to do it again. |

Before hiring Mr. Beutler, I searched the Better Business Bureau website and saw that he has an A+ rating - their highest rating. He is also a member of not one, but three Bar Associations. I contacted all three and he has never had a complaint submitted against him - in over 20 years, they said. I hired him. After two long years and four rejected submissions from another "consultant", Fidelity approved the two Fidelity QDROs that Mr. Beutler drafted for me within a week after receiving them. Mr. Beutler also explained the process clearly and provided flawless instructions. His experience as a judge really paid off. I recommend him to anyone who needs a QDRO prepared. |

For six years I was unsuccessful in processing a QDRO because my ex was stonewalling. I hired Mr. Beutler and he used his experience and knowledge as a former judge to successfully prepare the QDRO, get it preapproved, and walk me though the court process. Mr. Beutler made almost simple what others had struggled with for six years, and I finally got my money. My ex said that he was going to log-on to this website and "get even" with this fine attorney by posting a nasty comment or two. Don't believe it. I called the applicable bar associations and reporting bureaus and found that Mr. Beutler has been a licensed attorney since 1986 and that no complaint or grievance has ever been filed against him, in 24 years! Satisfied with my research, I hired Mr. Beutler to prepare both of my IBM QDROs and my ex-husband's CSRS and TSP QDROs. His service was excellent. All four QDROs were approved by everyone and processed without a snag. He was very professional and always answered my calls and emails. He even answered his own phone which was a nice personal touch. I could tell that he cared about me and my difficult situation (I am permanently disabled), and it showed in his work. I could not be more pleased with Mr. Beutler and the total experience working with him. |

Tom Green, here. My ex-wife wanted me to pay another company a lot more money to prepare a QDRO. I hired Mr. Beutler instead. The other QDRO company was upset and sent me a nasty email attempting to discredit Mr. Beutler. I ignored it. I would like to respond to the negative comment below. First, Mr. Beutler charges $340 to prepare a QDRO, not $300. Second, it says that the QDRO he prepared was rejected by the plan administrator and he refused to make changes to it. It goes on to say that a QDRO was not even needed. This is interesting. Why would a plan administrator request changes to a QDRO, if no QDRO was needed? This is obviously bogus and false. Federal law requires QDROs for all retirement plans. Finally, Mr. Beutler prepared my Boeing QDRO quickly and correctly, and it was accepted by the court and the employer. He gave excellent service. Maybe the person who posted the negative comment below is from a company like my ex-wife's that is upset with Mr. Beutler's reasonable fees. |

I used Mr. Beutler to prepare a QDRO for my divorce last year and his guarantee on his website that the QDRO form he prepares will be approved by the plan administrator is untrue. The QDRO he prepared for me was rejected by the plan administrator as well as the judge and unfortunately Mr. Beutler refused to refund my money or change the form he prepared when I explained this to him. I also found out later that I did not even need to have a QDRO done at all! I sent several emails to Mr. Beutler and made several phone calls, but he still refused to issue a refund. I wasted $300 but learned never to use an attorney that advertises on the Internet! |

His knowledge was very poor. We could not even get the judge to sign the QDRO. Stan Beutler promises that he can do a QDRO for all 50 states. I gave a 2 for communication. He seems to communicate well but still feels like he just wanted our money. After that, communication was little. After following his instructions and having our local judge sign it, it came back to us with a great big question mark on the QDRO paperwork. Please stay away from this attorney. He would not give us our money back as promised. |
