Valerie is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE lawyer! She made my child custody case harder than it was and completly sided with the other party! She does NOT care about a childs best intrest and completly made my life a living hell! I DO NOT recommend her to many one! She gave me the wrong date for court and went behind my back just to mess me up! Everything she did was illegal and unhuman, VERY evil and i couldn't even believe she did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING right for me! Anything i wanted, she did the opposite! Stay as far away from her as possible!! Even though she talks calm, she is rude and FAKE in every way!I would give her a 0 instead of a 1 for this rating! |

An acquaintance recommended this lawyer. I contacted Val to interview her to see if she is the type of lawyer that I wanted to hire for my divorce. She was not only adversarial on the phone but she was also rude and had such attitude in her tone. I only asked her four questions and her response was a question to me. These weren't tough questions. I could no longer handle the tone she used, nor the condesending attitude and told her so prior to hanging up on her. She was very unprofessional on the phone. It would be a big mistake to ever hire this lawyer. |

While going through a very painful separation you depend on your lawyer to offer you guidance on your rights and entitlements. Valerie Shibley did none of this. Do NOT use this lawyer. |

TERRIBLE LAWYER!!! Would not recommend this woman to anyone. She does not reply to messages, is very very slow at preparing any kind of documentation ans has a very poor work ethic. TERRIBLE! |

Did not review background material and some of the other party's evidence prior to court and could not answer judge's questions. Made poor attempts at guessing the requested information and irriated the judge. Did not communicate additional filings by other party or temporary decisions by court - I had to get them from the other party! When I finally got through by phone, downplayed the temporary order and said it was not relevant to the hearing. That turned out to be procedurally wrong. I found additional material submitted by other party after the hearing, which I never received but could have refuted easily. Decided we didn't need to file any additional evidence despite my suggestions to provide evidence in my defence and when critisized about poor preparation responded the judge didn't believe any of the evidence that I provided. Made minimal effort and then held back filed documents to make sure she gets paid. Highly unprofessional behaviour. |
