I found Elissa Goldberg to be deceitful and incompetent. The only thing she was proactive about in handling my case was making sure she had a few thousand dollars in retainer at all times. I could forgive the incompetence, but she lied to get me to accept a substitue attorney, who, unknown to me, was being paid a small fraction of the fee I was paying. Elissa told me that her substitute charged the same fee, which turned out to be a monumental lie. In fact, I was paying $250/hour and she was only paying approximately $50/hour to her sub, who, btw, was even less competent. Needless to say, I paid over $30,000 in legal fees for an attorney who couldn't even object to heresay or even insist that I be accorded my right to cross examine the other side, much less have my own time on the stand.
Elissa is soft-spoken and will come off as kind, compassionate. But beware. She is dishonest and worthless in the courtroom. |
